About

We are an Independent, Fully Licensed, Wholefoods Cafe. All our food is freshly prepared in our own kitchen from ethically sourced ingredients.

Story

PeaPod Café is a Family Run, Independent Business who opened their doors in April 2013. We pride ourselves on sourcing local, ethical, additive free products.

All of our food is cooked fresh, onsite, to order! Our experienced cooks love mixing things up & we try to introduce new things on a weekly basis to keep things fresh & exciting!
Our meat is all locally sourced from Billericays Masons Butchers. Our Bread is delivered fresh out of the oven from Ravens Bakery and our cheese is courtesy of The Cheese Man!

Brunch is very popular at PeaPod with a great choice of American Style Pancakes, Eggs Benedict or even PeaPod's take on the Full English!

Our Kids Menu has been specifically designed with your little ones taste buds and health in mind! We use absolutely no additives or GM products so you can rest assure they are eating well!

We have recently introduced PeaPod's Tea Party which has been a great success- available Monday through Thursday and served on pretty pink vintage tea sets!

PeaPod also serves Organic & Sulphate Free Wines, Local Ciders & Beer!

We look forward to welcoming you soon

Arrived with 3 big Irish Setters. The staff were very dog friendly and showed us to a table that I booked before arriving. It was our first visit and apart from difficulty parking I could not fault the food service or friendliness. We will definitely go again Parking: Very limited
Quick pitstop for tea and cake while visiting another business in the area. Friendly welcome and delicious gluten free victoria sponge. Hubby said the fruit scone was good too. Only one critique was we were given one serviette between us and I'm sure I could of asked for more but I had spare tissues so wasn't too big a deal. Would return if we're back in the area.
Just been to Peapod Cafe for my birthday brunch pre-booked in advance! and they’ve told us the kitchen is closed, despite the fact they had other customers in there and plenty of staff, not to mention the fact we had booked 5 days prior. They took my number when I booked and didn’t bother to call us and let us know they had closed the kitchen as we could have gone somewhere else. I read some negative reviews but always like to give places the benefit of the doubt. Do not recommend! Thanks for ruining my birthday :
Nice venue. Easy parking. Loads of space for kids. Served a flat white which really wasn't one, but charged proper coffee prices for it. I ended up with an over extracted Americano.
Not the cheapest for a quick lunch but the vegan beetroot wrap was very very nice so worth the money. The food was very fresh and very tasty.
Ordered a full English breakfast with extras 2 Hash browns and 2 more sausages I called the restaurant right after I placed the order and asked them directly to cook the sausages and bacon well done considering my breakfast alone was £19 I felt it acceptable to make such a request to which they said they would. My food arrives and the bacon has no crisp to it and is full of fat, sausages are definitely not well done, my poached eggs are literally half cooked raw egg falling off my fork my hash browns have been placed on top of juicy tomatoes ? so they’re soggy and my spinach tastes like oil. Ordered this breakfast, my wife a veggie full English and my daughter some pancakes and the order come to £44!! Completely unacceptable and overpriced. Ridiculous that this restaurant claim ‘our prices are reflective of our ingredient cost’ on what planet is this true? I eat breakfast in London every week day and pay £10-15 for an excellent, well cooked breakfast with fantastic ingredients.
Nice place to visit, especially if you have little ones. Just beware of the prices! The breakfast burrito was £9 and didn't even come with a side salad. This being said, our little one loved playing in the play corner. Would like to say we would be back but unfortunately not until the prices change. We paid £27 for 2 coffees and 2 burritos. As nice as it was, it's wasn't value for money.
Great place to meet up with young children. Good food and nice staff. The cakes are great. It's a bit more expensive than average, but the quality of what you get is really good, so worth visiting if you're in the area.
First visit and last unfortunately…… food over priced, Waitresses look like they don’t even want to be there on there phones ….. Was given cutlery dumped on the table by a miserable waitress , no service to see if we wanted another drink or even asked if our meals where ok ? not a place where you feel like you get looked after considering the price you pay for there food.
Service without a smile. Plus, 4 oily wedges stacked like a poor game of jenga.
