It was a humid rainy summers day. Arriving at the station for the first time to Shenfield we had an hour to murder so we popped to Costa just a minute walk from the station.nnSurprised to see Costa still open these days and even more surprises as the busy coffee shop was clean and bright with the large windows, and we were served quickly and efficiently by smiling staff.nnAll my reviews are honest and not even indirectly biased in any way... In other words I don't know anyone lol.
I had such a great experience at Costa in Shenfield recently. The atmosphere in the store was genuinely warm and welcoming, which made a big difference straight away. Even when it got really busy, the team handled everything incredibly well—working efficiently, staying calm, and serving everyone quickly without ever compromising on politeness.nnIt’s clear that the staff all get along well, which creates a really positive vibe for customers, but they still keep things professional at all times. That balance isn’t easy to achieve, and they’ve absolutely nailed it.nnA special mention has to go to Lucie, the manager. Since she’s taken over, there’s been a noticeable and impressive change in the store. The whole place feels more organised, upbeat, and customer-focused, which is a real credit to her leadership.nnOverall, a fantastic team, great service, and a really enjoyable place to visit. Highly recommend!
I had such a genuinely positive experience at Costa Coffee in Shenfield that I felt it was important to leave a review. The store itself is always clean, well-organised, and has a really welcoming atmosphere but what truly stands out is the management.nnLucie, the manager, is exceptional. You can clearly see the difference strong leadership makes the moment you walk in. She runs a tight, professional team while still creating a warm and friendly environment for customers. She’s attentive, approachable, and clearly cares about both her staff and the people coming through the door.nnEvery visit feels consistent , great coffee, quick service, and a team that actually seems happy to be there, which is rare and speaks volumes about how the store is run. Even during busy periods, everything flows smoothly and you never feel rushed or overlooked.nnIt’s easy to underestimate how much impact a good manager has on a place like this, but Lucie is a perfect example of someone who elevates the entire experience. Costa Shenfield is one of the best-run stores I’ve visited, and that’s down to her.nnHighly recommend.
My experience was very poor. I ordered two caramel shakes for the kids, and the wait was a bit long because only one person was making the drinks, and the other seemed inexperienced. When my drinks were finally ready, they started having problems with the whipped cream. Ultimately, the girl threw away a third of one of my drink, and after a lengthy attempt to make new whipped cream, she replaced the missing portion of my second drink with the same whipped cream. I think that when paying a lot of money for a Frapuccino, the standard cost should be high, not to make up for a mistake with whipped cream. I definitely won't be shopping there again.
Great. Coffee brought to the table for me as I'm mobility impaired. Friendly pleasant staff.
