Been here before, the experience was fine, just came there cause it said it was open… well it wasn’t and that’s quiet odd since even the printed paper says that work from 10 I came at 11:28 and posting my review on my way back home.

I used to buy dog treats from here, then I noticed they sell REALLY tiny hamster cages, much smaller for their enrichment needs. There are birds in box cages so I have now stopped going.  If they loved animals they wouldn't sell such items. Their reply doesn't make sense because they are encouraging customers to cage animals by just scraping the legal minimum required, again proving they have no clue on animal welfare.

Paw prints is too over priced and too expensive. Not good to customers wanting to return an expensive dog carrier. If ya dont have receipt and some thing has broken they will not give ya let ya have money/ credit back. All they bothered is about them been out of pocket just money grabbing. If you have genuenley lost your receipt what happened to customers comes first. Not a chance wont be shopping there again. Extaunshanists in the making. Im greiving at the moment my 8 year old dog died as well as my mum. In the last 9 week staff and manager diddnt take in consideration. Talking on a phone to  say no to me geting credit at least. Made me angry.

Love this shop. A great variety of cat and dog stuff.  I cannot say about other animals though.  The staff are lovely and helpful.

I’m always a fan of paw prints, the staff are nice and the stock decent, my only wish would be that they reduced the amount of rawhide products they sold. But that’s just my view.

Such helpful and commited staff to the animals making sure that they get their forever homes. They make sure that the animals are given as much attention and are held regularly to make them tame. My little hamster has been no problem with regards to handling because of this. The animal products are good quality and it's always fun to have a look as stock changes frequently and doesn't get boring.

Great for dogs but that's it, very generic stuff but maybe a good place to stock up on dog food and bones

Reposting this since they only seem to respond to positive reviews lately. You can see from the reviews’ responses how rude and unreceptive to constructive criticism the staff are, so I doubt they’ll pay this any mind either. Been in multiple times and the budgies seem miserable as do the staff.., at least 5 of the budgies were cooped up in one tank which doesn’t meet the legal size requirements at all, even though they had empty cages next to it…. They also only had one type and size of perch in at least one of the tanks which can be very unhealthy for the birds - which they should know - and is again against regulations. Deserve to be reported, honestly wish I could rescue those poor birds. If it wasn’t so difficult to report pet shops I would have reported them long ago.

Don’t understand the negative reviews of this place- especially those regarding the staff. In my experience the staff are all incredibly friendly, polite, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Bought a harness for my dog a few months ago without knowing if it would fit him, staff member told me that if it didn’t fit, I could come back and swap it! Above and beyond customer service considering I’d have to take the packaging off etc. such a wide range of treats, toys, and bones. All very fairly priced too compared to places like pets at home.

I went in store this morning to have a look around I hadn’t been in this store for 5 years so I thought I’d have a look - I previously didn’t find anything too bad about the animal care. I was met with a rabbit who had very little water and what was there had wood shavings in. I very kindly asked if the rabbit could be given water and was met with a cheeky tone of “yeah it’ll be done this morning.” As if the care of the animals isn’t the most important thing. Isn’t this a job that should be done before the shop opens? Why get a job in a pet shop if you don’t care for them. in addition to this, the rabbit really needed cleaning out and didn’t have a lot of hay. There was no enrichment. Just wood shavings, a small amount of hay, 3 or 4 empty food bowls and 1 with the smallest amount of water with wood shavings in with one wooden bridge. That poor bunny. Overall, poor and unsuitable conditions for rabbits as well as hamster cages and accessories which are also too small and unsafe.  EDIT: as the owner has replied, I can confidently say when I was there there were NO water bottles present. Although, there probably would be now  after my feedback - still Water bottles aren’t the best choice for bunnies. There was still not a lot of hay or enrichment, if anything I would say the enclosure was just under the absolute bare minimum.
