Parrillan
"Parrillan is a terrace bar and tabletop-grill restaurant from the team behind Barrafina, with a menu by Angel Zapata Martin and views overlooking Regent’s Canal in Coal Drops Yard, King’s Cross.Guests can order Spanish para picar and a choice of beautiful meat, seafood and vegetables to be cooked on their own bespoke parrilla mini-grills.A largely Spanish list offers wines, sherries and Cavas by the glass and bottle. There is also a menu offering cocktails by the glass or jug, and a dedicated list of Spanish gin and tonics. For health and safety we are unable to have children under 10 years old in the restaurant due to the grills on the table. We are dog friendly! We are happy to welcome small size furry friends."

The first thing that stands out at Parrillan is the very friendly crew. There is a nice Spanish vibe friendliness as soon as you are met by the servers. The restaurant has a lovely decor and the terrace is heated well. There are coal heaters at all tables too. The music was good. The cocktail and drinks menu is limited but there is something for everyone. Do make a prior reservation as the place is usually packed, especially over the weekend. The food menu is limited but we just ate some bar nibbles, so will be back to Parrillan to try their mains soon. Parrillan is highly recommended for a few drinks with friends.
Food was lovely, but the service could have been much more better and the food was so late coming out. No explanation or anything. Waited 1 hour to get our seafood section. Asked the staff if he could check where our food is and he told us straight away even without a checking, it will be coming. Waited 20mins after that. No follow up check up. All the food comes out whenever is ready without any updates.
It is generally hard to find a restaurant in London that has delicious food and excellent service. This place was great in terms of both. The fishes were awesome. We ate mackarel, whole sardines, squid, vegetables and lamb. Everything was great except after you eat you smell like a barbecue. Although the place is partly open, the ventilation could have been better.
Very busy, but my details were taken, and I received a text saying a table was available. Directed to a sunny area, watching people pass by, it was perfect. Silvia, the server was very helpful in my choices and a nice wine. Will definitely retun to try the grill. I had the tomato and tuna loin salad fresh light and full of flavours of the summer.. the ham crocett where fabulous full of flavoured cheese and ham on the inside and smoky ham..crispy on the outside.. Vist is a must
Dropped in here by chance and we were not disappointed. Accommodated us with 2 prams no problem. The service was impeccable. The staff are friendly and passionate about the food. If you visit with children under 10 you can't use the table grills, so we had most of the tapas selection on offer. All the food was great quality. Stand out dish was the baked sheep's cheese, and I'm not a huge cheese fan. Will be back.
A great spot during the spring or summer for outdoor dining. I've never been during the winter time, since it seems like it would be quite cold. Here you can grill your own food! They have a mix of meats, fish, and vegetables to choose from. We also usually get a pitcher or two of sangria to go with the meal. Price wise it is a bit pricey, but this is quite normal for the King's Cross area. I would strongly suggest getting a reservation! We got lucky without it a few times.
Awful experience and blacklisted on my places to NOT go to in London. Staff are incredibly rude and service is really poor. We asked for a table and had to wait a long time before being seated. In the end we decided to take one of the many empty ones available by ourselves because staff were not helpful. Once seated, the waiters did not even give us menus, we had to go and pick them up from the counter ourselves. When we were about to leave, we asked to pay to three different people because the first two waiters completely ignored us. The first waiter guy who ignored us is particularly rude, immature and lacks competence to serve people in such a high establishment. Incredibly disappointed, will never go back. So sorry my friend visiting from another country had to witness that. Overpriced and totally not worth it. Classic London tourist traps.
There are few restaurants I gush about. The staff, the food, the menu is fresh, simple and flavorful. And I am absolutely in love with the at table BBQ with the four types of pork. Always get the baby romesco and the sweet pimentos with any beef/pork dish. And save room for their deserts.
Excellent food with wonderful staff! Highly recommend. Padron Peppers, anything with Iberian pork, baby gem salad, lamb and tuna are are among the best I've ever tried! Worth it.Recommended dishesBarbecue Grill, Escalivada, Tapas, Pan Con Tomate, Green Salad, Spanish Salted Almonds, Lamb Skewer
