I've driven past a few times and wondered if it was any good. So decided to visit with the kids and was pleasantly surprised. Good friendly staff, and importantly for a desert place, the taste is good, not over sweet or artificial and the drinks taste good too. Service is prompt and polite. There is a soft play area for the kids which is greatcould do with a refresh, but gives you an idea how busy the place can get. It's also nice to have a coffee and chat with other parents while your kids are playing about. Will be visiting again
Nice environment to sit down and enjoy a latte. Lovely ice-creams with choice of sprinkles for the children and adults. Little indoor play area for under fives. Comfy seating indoors and outdoors. Light and airy place. Pleasant staff.
Overall decent experience but could use some improvement. My chocolate fondant was warm but the chocolate in the middle was still hard. Mine was brought out first and my partner was stuck waiting for hers. When hers finally came out my gelato was half melted. As for her coffee, I was surprised to see it served in a basic clear plastic cup. Food was still good, staff was friendly, and prices decent though!
Great little café. It has a little soft play area which is awesome for babies & toddlers. The café is very big so my little one who has just discovered running, love running up & down. Their food is very tasty & they have a large selection of yummy milkshakes & ice cream. Admittedly they are a touch pricey but we'll worth our weekly visit. There's an outside setting area which will be nice in the summer.
Had a lovely time, the ice-cream is great loads of choice in the menu, very relaxing atmosphere If you have kids the soft play is a great little additions and keeps them entertained, the only downside is some times the service is a little slow. But I give it a solid 8 out of ten.
Very clean bright place with friendly staff. Good for people with small offspring, soft play area down one end. Very good tea and coffee, haven't tried the food. Many different flavours of ice cream .
Clean, friendly with delicious ice cream. They do savoury food too, although my sweet tooth has prevented me from further investigation there. There's also a small soft play corner for children.
Great selection of desserts and lovely family atmosphere. Soft play area for the kids. Waffles, Cakes and Gelato have all been tried and tested...and they're all top quality!
Agree with some of the other comments - the ice cream is awesome - best there is to be had in Birmingham and nice sized portions, but it's a shame this quality is let down by the customer service. Why the idiotic double queuing system? first at the till and then to be served the ice cream And would it really hurt to offer table service? We visited with a group of 6 on a Sunday afternoon and there were not more than 20 paying customers in at any given time over the 90 minutes of our stay. With 3 staff on duty it should have been possible not only to organise table service, but also make sure the menus were offered as a rule not hidden on the wall, and perhaps wipe down the sticky tables. I've always been pleased that the place exists, but from day one I've been disappointed by the decor - I'm used to something more 'grown up' from travels to the continent, something with a little bit of Italian flair, not a cross between a very noisy toddler's creche and a dentist waiting room. And - as so many times, the noise of screeching children was deafening, even at the other end of the cafe - even a hint of soft furnishing would help to deaden some of that screaming, drowning it out instead with thumping dance music doesn't make for a relaxing experience or likely to stay for another coffee.
Ice cream is ok. Very pricey for what you get. £14 for 7 veru small scoops and a staff member that has no patience when you and your children are trying to decide on flavours. Glad i went in as I now know what it's like and can leave well alone in future.
