I recently visited a restaurant with my 8-month-old baby and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. Firstly, the restaurant was not accessible as I had to climb stairs with a pram which made it quite inconvenient. Secondly, the high chair provided was not safe at all. The buckle kept coming off and the back support was hard and dangerous for my baby. Due to this issue, I had to take away the food and eat it elsewhere. To make matters worse, while chewing the food, I discovered a small metal shard in it which was quite alarming and dangerous. It is concerning that the restaurant did not take proper measures to ensure that the food was free from any such foreign objects. To add to my disappointment, even the food was quite bland for an Indian cuisine. The flavors were not as authentic as I had hoped and it was an overall underwhelming experience. In conclusion, it is evident that the restaurant had no regard for health and safety, as evidenced by the inaccessible entrance, unsafe high chair, and presence of foreign objects in the food. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, especially if they have young children with them.
Firstly, let's talk about the good things - Ambience excellent Customer service 5 stars Music good Easy to locate Waiting time after ordering the food - hardly 10 mins The final part - FOOD - we ordered chicken Tikka makhani , 2 tandoori rotis , dal tadka, drink and lamb Tikka Chicken Tikka makhani - portion was ridiculously less , chicken was hard, curry was sweet and absolutely had no taste. Lamb Tikka - my son could eat lamb for breakfast, lunch and dinner, whatever the quality of lamb is , it doesn't matter to him. But here he literally couldn't finish the plate was the lamb was very hard. Dal tadka - we ordered it as a side dish and again the portion was beyond imagination. Taste wise , it tasted like pithala. Rotis - were good, only thing that we could finish. But 2 tandoori rotis for £7 is insane and on top of that gratuity Waiters - were very sweet, so the 3 star rating is for ambience and the waiters and 0 stars for the food. Orange chocolate - served along with the bill, that was lovely. I asked for few more and the waiter gave me 4.The chocolates helped me change the taste of mouth I wouldn't go back or wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
I enjoyed the food & wine. The service was hospitable and enjoyable. Especially Ziggy . We are the appetizers before I could get a picture.
Beautiful evening with the family. Staff are very friendly and attentive. Food is amazing. Service 10/10 All food was cooked fresh and full of flavour.
Customer service 10/10 Food was fresh and full of flavour!! Didn’t have to wait long for our meals at all. Will definitely be visiting again! :
A great looking place to enjoy a great-tasting Indian meal with friendly and professional staff.Food: 5/5
Convenient location directly above the Brasshouse pub on Broad St. Great venue, spacious and stylish design. Plenty of attentive staff who kept us hydrated with delicious beer whilst waiting for our table. Starters and mains all tasty and spices to order. The onion bhaji starter is some next level design! Overall excellent service and food. Recommended.
Amazing authentic food. Can't wait to go back again! One of the best chicken Jalfrizi's around!
We booked a table for 2 Friday 13th April 18. Couldn't find the restaurant at first I thought it was in brindle place as I looked at Google maps and it looked to be there. Having arrived soon found it was in broad street. I never checked the address as we got the train over and we are familiar with Birmingham. I must admit if I knew it was in broad street we may have not booked in here being a busy hotspot for people drinking etc etc. Anyway when we arrived it wasn't very busy as we came early we were going out for drinks after so we went for the lunch menu which is on till 7 for the price it was fine 3 course for 13.95 standard poppadoms to start then choice samosa e.g then your main meal which is the curry it's self. All in all the food tasted nice was it the best curry I've had. No. It was just ok to me don't think I'll be returning as there is a lot of competition around and may find a nicer place to eat. If your looking for a cheap night out as a couple then this may be the place it's in a good location next to a load of pubs either in brindle place or broad street. If your willing to spend a bit more on a meal you might enjoy more I would rather do that. We both enjoyed our dinner I wasn't keen on the pilau rice that came out the actual curry sauce and chicken I had tasted nice and the naan bread was nice also. Overall felt the place and food was ok
We were visiting the city for a concert. l definitely recommend you eat here One of the best Indian meals we've had. We also needed a quick service and despite the restaurant being busy they accommodated this. Service, staff and food all 5*Food: 5/5
