We brought a large group of over twenty people to Palms of Goa for lunch, and it was perfect! The staff was amazingly kind and friendly, and the food was both delicious and reasonably priced especially the lunch specials. They got all of our orders right, and our meals came out quite quickly for such a big group. Lots of vegan and vegetarian options with everything clearly labeled on the menu. We will definitely be back again! Vegetarian options: They had 2 vegetarian lunch specials available that were both excellent.
Super friendly owner, Eugene, who greets customers at the door and makes everybody feel welcomed. The food was excellent. I had the fish thali, and the fish was cooked perfectly. I'll definitely be returning to try more!Food: 5/5
Great food, Great Service, Great experience Went for dinner with friends and a member of staff went all the way to buy ocra upon seeing our reaction to them running out. If not for the above and beyond hospitality, come for the delicious and tastefully spiced variety of Goanese and Indian dishes
Food was awesome from the view of the first timer. Service was excellent, everyone was very kind and welcoming. At the end the owner saw us off and we had a nice conversation. Do not miss this if visiting London for the first time.Food: 5/5
The lamb chops were succulent, the chicken tender, the popadom was evidently made in house and the beans were perfect. Honestly a 10/10 restaurant. I only came to eat some lunch and I was wow’d by the customer service and the quality. Parking: Don’t be afraid to spin the block a few times to find parking. Some places are free at 6.30pm and free on the weekends
Absolutely excellent! As a vegan there’s so much choice here and the staff are super accommodating and friendly! Been a weekly regular here getting the lunch box for about a year now, highly recommend!!Food: 5/5
Wheres the flavour and spice????? Searched for a Thali restaurant in London and decided to try Palms of Goa based on the reviews, so I called and although they were busy with group bookings they kindly offered a booking at 20:30. We arrived and were promptly taken to our table for 4 and the place was busy as fairly small restaurant, viewed menu and placed order for 3 non veg Thali's priced at £22 each. The Thali comes with as pictured a tandoor chicken, small kebab, salad, Dal, 2 chicken pots Butter and other, lamb mince with peas, rice and nan, so upon arrival looked nice until we started to eat the food. Why the negative? Kebab was awful in taste The butter chicken was way too sweet The other chicken pot whatever it was had absolutely no taste/flavour of any kind, totally bland. The mince peas again lacking any flavour None of the 3 Thali:s ordered were finished or even half digested by us, so a total waste of £70 and left feeling hungry, so had to buy a takeaway later that evening for the kids. Yes busy, but I guess when your drinking alcohol you may not care about taste, we do and this failed in every way on flavour of food and spice
Great experience here. Was with former work colleagues to give one colleague a send off back home. Food was amazing. The meat portions were very good. In a great location. Well done to Eugene and the team. Would definitely come back here.Food: 5/5
I think it's the loveliest place for an authentic and casual Indian food in central London. The lunch specials are very reasonably priced, comes with good portion and delicious! The manager/owner Eugene is so friendly and attentive. Highly recommended!Food: 5/5
As far as Indian food in restaurants within London goes, I found it to be decent and tasty. However it did not taste like authentic Goan food unfortunately. I was excited to see Prawn Balchao and also Xacuti on the menu, so ordered the Balchao in Chapatti and then Lamb Xacuti with Pilau rice. The Prawn Balchao roll had a good amount of prawns and was served with a salad garnish. It tasted ok, but lacked the classic tang of Goan vinegar and could've done with a bit more chilli heat. Still though, not a bad plate of food. The Lamb Xacuti was disappointing to me, as someone who loves this traditional dish. It lacked the coconut and spice balance that I've grown up and loved. Again, held up against curries at a lot of restaurants in London, it was a very decent one, just not what it should've been.
