Came here with my fianceé after a week away in South of France so wanted somewhere easy to get to from the station but decent food. We went off the reviews in comparison to other local restaurants and decided to give it a try and weren't disappointed. Perfectly located off from St Pancras/Kings Cross Rail Station and luggage friendly if you have quite a few bags. Staff were extremely friendly from moment we walked in and a nice warm atmosphere with a touch of class but not too overboard. My fianceé is vegetarian and she had plenty of options without meat to choose from. I had a nice lamb bhoona which didn't skimp on the lamb like most places these days! The waiter also booked us a taxi to take us to our hotel which gave us another bonus of a hassle free evening and lovely end to our holiday. Lovely polite staff, excellent location, amazing food and warmly decor. Highly recommend.
I have been meaning to write a review for a while. We held my sisters nikah wedding meal here and I can not fault anything. The service and food was amazing. Our guests were pleased! Thank you to the staff for making the day perfect.
Lovely, warm and friendly atmosphere. My mates and I were warmly greeted by the door and led into a beautifully decorated restaurant. The staff were very friendly, kind and welcoming. I had a generous amount of biryani with lamb which was really delicious, as well as the sheek kebab for the starter which was very tender and juicy. We were also offered a range of side dips for our food with the poppadoms, which all tasted wonderful. And to top it all off, my favourite part was when we were offered warm scented hand towels. What a great touch! Overall, I had a great experience at the restaurant, I will most definitely visit again! :D
We ordered from TooGood2Go. Our initial dish was not great but it was sorted and swapped for a tasty vegetable curry! I saw they had some lunch deals that looked good too.
Stumbled onto this restaurant by accident. We were staying a little further up the road but decided to give this a try after walking past a number of other restaurants - and we were so glad we did. The decor is lovely - had obviously been recently renovated. The prices were perhaps a little higher than the local competition, which meant that it was not as busy *but* I think the quality of the interior more than matched the quality of the food and justified any premium. As a bonus, two of our kids who I'm heartbroken to say are not fans of spice were able to munch on chicken nuggets & chips. So service was great, surroundings great, food great, and fussy eater family friendly - all the right boxes ticked for me. Recommended!
Nice restaurant, polite attentive staff, excellent tasty food and good price for this area of London.
Firstly the smell was wonderful. The staff were very friendly and the food was delish! Secondly, Great potential. Finally. If you are in Kings Cross I highly recommend as a refined Indian.
Service and food quality was excellent. We opted for the £9.95 option which gave us three different curries, chicken, lamb and vegetable along with rice, salad, onion bhaji and naan. It was more than we could eat and incredible value for anywhere, especially central London. Would definitely go back and highly recommend Chilli Shaker.
After a long time gap due to lockdown, my family was craving for an outside food, not that I do not like my wife's food. I am glad I had a collection from this restaurant. The food was simply delicious. I ordered a lamb vinadloo, 2 garlic naan, tadka dal, okra/bhindi bhajee, fish cilli masala and plain rice. The service was excellent from Jalal. Kids thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Thank you for your food and service. I will come again with my colleagues. Highly recommended plade and worth every penny.
Really excellent and ridiculous value for money. Very friendly and some of the best food I've had for ages. It's really quiet at the moment which is a shame as the food and service can't be faulted.
