The bridge has just celebrated 40 years since opening. Still looking good.
Absolutely stunning, upper estuary viewpoint, dominated by the graceful Orwell Bridge. I've never passed this spot & not been impressed by the view, the photo opportunities are often amazing. The actual location of the viewpoint parking area is the lay-by opposite the beginning of the PUBLIC FOOTPATH leading uphill into Freston woods. Unfortunately, as the photos show, despite the rural isolation of the spot, it's not far enough away from the town housing estates to avoid being abused by local litter louts. For their information; the Orwell Bridge viewpoint is a recognised area of outstanding natural beauty; NOT to be abused as they treat their Council Housing gardens...
Lots of views, lots of nature to be spotted, there has been some deer spotted here recently and peregrine falcon's. Great photo opportunities too.
Really lovely views. The parking place is quite small and easy to miss. It's almost directly opposite to the turning for the food hall.
I visited Pipers Vale local nature reserve to see and photograph butterflies. Even though I didn't see Brown Hairstreak probably too hot, I still had an enjoyable couple of hours.
Needs to be kept clean more often. Walkways get dirty very quickly. Great views thou.
Best walk for children and dogs, very friendly horses, beautiful scenery. What more can you ask for
My eyes rested in their sockets and took in the view of the air road that makes it easy for the vehicles to pass over the water.
Nice lay-by for birdwatching, especially if the falcons are showing
Amazing view of the bridge and river, absolutely awful smell when the tide is out
