Tasty Portuguese food in a relaxed, cosy, bistro styled atmosphere with lovely, friendly staff. Decently priced and a good choice of dishes. Being unlicensed, BYOB lowers the bill considerably. £2 corkage. What's not to like about it? Nothing! If you're looking for something other than the usual run of the mill bar food fare, you won't be disappointed.

Highly Recommended and a must visit on your next trip to Edinburgh. I'm not qualified to review other cuisines from around the world at the best of times but being that this serves some traditional Portuguese foods then I'm going to yell out. Breakfast was amazing, Portuguese Custard tarts were straight out the oven, chicken was 10/10.. Chicken with chips and rice was £5.90, thats cheaper than Portugal Lovely Hosts, Chef came to check if everything was fine.. Can't speak highly of this place..

Both the food and the service at this place in Portobello have been one of the nicest experiences I have had eating out of my home in very long time. The owners were so warm and welcoming, and the quality of the food and taste was amazing. I tried the cod cakes and felt as if I was in the kitchen of a proper portuguese home, so, all in all, I am more than happy to suggest this place to all tourists or locals who are searching for wonderful portuguese kitchen.

Just passing and what a great wee discovery! The decor is excellent and the food even better - the perfect place to relax. The food was amazing, they've got an ever-changing menu of specials - we went with the delicious Francesinha a speciality sandwich from Porto and the homemade soup is also sublime! We were glad to see the cafe full of satisfied customers. We'll definitely be back!!

Deliciously simple and tasty good food with a Portuguese twist. Baked salmon with new potatoes and salad for me, accompanied by a simple but delicous virgin olive oil with garlic. Duck rice with chorizo and strips of bacon for him. All fresh local produce and beautifully cooked in plentiful portions! BYOB an added bonus - as was wonderfully warm hospitality of the family owners Ofelia, Juan and Laura...highly recommended and we'll be back soon!

It's a lovely little place in Portobello. The food is a authentic Portuguese home cooking. It's run by a really friendly couple. Strongly recommend!

A lovely experience. Excellent attentive service and great food. Recommend the spicy fish stew. We all had different 3 course meals and were very happy!
