Popeyes Cafe

The guy had no idea what my partner was saying. Waiting half an hour for a cup of tea and a toastie. Two other ladies had waited an hour and missed a bus due to the service being so bad. We left without every receiving the food or tea.

First time and we'll definitely be back. Food was excellent. Cooked from fresh. Can't rate it highly enough.Food: 5/5

Just been to visit thought we would try cafe wish I had read reviews before. Good I have to say was nice enough cheese baguette and a tuna toastie with tea however service Shambolic . We were instructed to sit down by the waitress Nicola and she forgot to come back to us the gentlemen Thomas asked over the counter to us if we had been served . The time taken to be served was longer than the time it took me to eat . There was a visitor from environmental health who happened to visit when we were in and she had to wait ages to be taken their back to do her job . Over all bad choice need staff training in delivering excellent service. Won’t be returning !

Service was poor, dont go if you are in a hurry, got a panini and wasn't cooked properly. Probably wont be back

Waited at least 30 mins for 3 rolls!! It was all on the hot plate ready so god knows what the lady was doing through the back!! it wasn’t busy When I did eventually get the rolls they were so greasy it came through the bag!!! Won’t be back anytime soon and certainly wouldn’t recommend

WORST SERVICE EVER. We waited 15minutes for them to give us TAKEAWAY soup. Then the waiter first tried to overcharge us, when corrected still charged us slightly more than the price on the board. He kept coughing while making drinks for people, no mask. Once we finally got the soup, it was given to us in a cup filled with lentil marks and the explanation that they needed time to warm it up - with what, sunlight?? Needless to say, will never ever return.

Good selection of chicken shipped in varieties of ways. Was very fond of the waitress named Jules. Although the fire in her hair was overkill. Would definitely recommend this restaurant as an experience. Lovely beverages on offer. My father-in-law was very keen on the Coca-Cola in the can. The selection of aromas from behind the counter was to be compare to nothing more than unusual. The placement of the oversized menu boards was to my liking. Made it very easy for me to decide what I was to have. The placement of the restaurant next to the bus stop is 2nd to none. Would recommend this cafe for a romantic evening with your father-in-law before you elope with him. Nice ice cream selection

Delicious full Scottish breakfast with prompt and friendly service

I've been here on many occasions especially during the summer months. One of the better places in portobello for a cooked breakfast. Well recommended if your looking for breakfast or light lunch.
