The Beach House

I've been coming to The Beach House for many years over the past decade and one thing that never surprises me is how busy and popular The Beach House is. There's always a very steady flow of business and the reason for that is the food, the drinks and the current waiting staff. Indoor and outdoor tables are available as well as takeaway options. It's situated in a great location along the promenade, so some great coastal views if you are lucky enough to grab a table by the window. The oat milk cappuccino is a must for any lactose intolerant sufferers. Food is always immaculately presented, very tasty and fresh. Vegetarian options: They have some really great vegetarian options available. I recommend the Mexican Smash and the Turkish Eggs.

The location on this spot is just great! I’m so surprised this spot doesn’t come up as a recommendation, and if we weren’t having a super slow day, I don’t think we would’ve ever come to this part of town, The shakshuka and orange juice were top notch! The hot chocolate was great too, but the marshmallows were one too many for me. I’m also not a big fan of marshmallows to begin with, so I can’t imagine that I would’ve liked it any better if there were lesser of them. This is a great spot to grab breakfast and take a walk down the beach!

I would highly recommend this place for afternoon tea or lunch. It’s so cozy to take a table near the sea, whether inside or outside, and enjoy nice coffee or cakes. I felt so relaxed in such a beautiful place. Also, staffs here are quite friendly and passionate.

Our go to place during our stay at portobello beach! Located directly at the beach, this is the perfect place to start your day, either with breakfast oder lunch ;. It is family friendly and although often very busy, service is ok. The food is great and the vibe is great. Loved the beach house.

An absolutely delightful beach and beautiful scenery. Impressed there are places including food/beverage vans along the beach, as you don't always have this well, It hasn't been the norm to experience for me in the past!

The coffee shop is cosy with an amazing view of the beach and friendly staff. We had delicious cakes amazing selections of gluten-free cakes too with cappuccino.

Good food two waitress were nice but most of the stuff walking there with no purpose. They just appear to be doing something. They don't pay attention to the order of service. I waited a long time at the land and they served someone who came in after me... I pointed out to the girl who took the order that i was there first. The manager started talking to me in a raised voice that he was preparing the coffee for someone. But I wasn't even talking to him. And there was like 8 employes there... In larger restaurants with fewer staff, this service is more efficient than here. And tell your boss to hold off on buying another car until she fixes the bathroom faucets:

Definitely a great place to visit and have a lunch or whatever you want just front of the Portobello beach. I’ve been there twice with a friend and the place is very busy, sometimes you have to wait a little but it worth it. I was lucky the last time as we have 7 people before us but we got allocated prompt as we are only 2 people. The waiting time to be served is not much, the staff is very friendly so I highly recommend this place. #thebeachhouse #portobello

I've been to the worst restaurants. The people in the restaurant were very impolite. They seemed to be racist. We asked for a window seat, and they told us to come back in 20 minutes. When we returned, they said you didn't wait 20 minutes as they said to the prisoners. And while I was waiting for my friend to go to the bathroom after lunch, they asked me to get out of his way in the hallway. I was actually in a significantly sidelined position. The taste of regular food and the service attitude is very teribble. Especially for a man who looks to be in his thirties or forties.

Although today’s weather is not so good, the environment inside is really cosy. Food is delicious, waitresses and waiters are all so nice and friendly.
