Extortionate but good, £13.50 for cod and chips other fish more!. Great fish and batter, 'fried to order' apparently. Was looking at the menu outside and the guy was really annoyingly insisting I come in when I just wanted to read the menu in peace - times may be hard but calm down this isn't a Bangkok market.
Paid 41 £ for 3 portions of fish and chips - definitely on the premium. Fish was alright, nothing amazing. Chips were just okay, a bit soggy/chunky. I asked for peas but was not given them, but luckily not charged. Would not come back as can definitely get a better deal for this money.
Wow. Fantastic fish and chips. One of the best around. Unlike many others, you don't get that heavy oily post-dinner feeling here.
Never a disappointment. I come from lewisham to collect my fish and chips from olleys. Always worth the extra mile. The haddock was brilliant and the chunky chips were nice and crispy. Always cooked fresh.
Still open for takeaway, even during COVID lockdown. Use the app to order ahead, or just turn up. Good quality haddock or cod and chips, with a range of options for any non-fish eaters too.
Tasty and fresh, albeit a bit slow
I'm a recent first-time customer and enjoyed the takeaway fried cod and chips, but why the eye-wateringly high prices? After all, it's in decidedly unposh Herne Hill, not Mayfair!
Great atmosphere, fish done right, tasted phenomenal and customer service like i never had before.
