 Farringdon  £6.70 Madri An Historical Building of London’s Printing Past. Harrild & Sons is located just south of Holborn Viaduct where the City of London meets Holborn. The nearest Tube stations are Farringdon and Blackfriars, both are a five minute walk away. This pub is located in The Fleet Works Building which was built in 1886. This building was the former home of Harrild & Sons printing machinery works and is Grade II listed. Robert Harrild was a famous printer of the early 19th century, his company ceased trading in 1949. This is a spacious high ceiling pub that has a main bar and a cocktail bar on the lower floor. There decor consists of a bare boarded floor running throughout, lots of exposed brickwork and some interesting artwork. At the back of the bar is a smart dining area which has an atrium above. The servery is eye catching and had solid oak panels, beautiful pendants above and a copper counter. The beer selection was pretty good and offered a choice from local London breweries like @twotribesbrew and @signaturebrew plus premium continental favourites. I decided on a pint of Madri, my pint was great, price point was a bit top heavy. There is a Pub Grub food menu available with an emphasis on burgers, Fish & Chips costs £16.50. We arrived around 1pm on a Friday lunchtime on a warm September day. The pub was fairly quiet with a group of lads on a crawl plus a few catching some rays out the front. The atmosphere was chilled and relaxed before the afterwork crowd rush later that day. The service was spot on, the chap who served us was welcoming and friendly. With the exception of the buildings around Holborn Viaduct and the currently closed Hoop & Grapes, this building is the only piece of Victorian architecture left on this street. @harrildandsons offers a relaxing haven away from all the concrete and glass that now dominates the local landscape. This maybe more Bar than Pub but either way, we really enjoyed our visit here. ℹ Info correct on visiting 29.09.23
Dylan and Caney are absolutely amazing. I miss my time there. Been a couple of times lately. Atmosphere good. Food amazing and good value for your money And the downstairs cocktail bar a hidden gem. You trying to find a place to hold a small get together or a birthday. That's the place for you@
I love this place. It’s buzzing and very noisy but the after work vibe rocks. Favourite place to grab a beer after work. The bar staff are so friendly and helpful and the decor is great. I ate there once, downstairs, and the food was really good as well. Can’t remember exactly what I had, as the beer was excellent, but I think we ordered more during the evening, it’s a bit vague…

Just been for a hen day experience bottomless brunch musical theatre. What can I tell you but WOW!! From the stunningly talented drag compare, and amazing west end show singers, through the hot and tasty food with delicious cocktails to the party atmosphere, we could not fault this experience! But I think what blew me away too was the level of care given by the staff across the board. We had the patient and “nothing is too much trouble” Maddie serving us who dealt with all ages, dietary needs and requirements with a smile on her face and a “I’ll take care of you attitude! She was a credit to the team! And thats what they are, all staff work as a team. They sing along and look like they are having fun despite the 120 covers and 5 hours of continuous drinks and mayhem of clients screaming show tunes and dancing. A total party from start to finish! Undoubtably the hostess steals the show as she seamlessly drives the experience and ensures the crowd have a ball but the backend staff and servers deserve as much credit for a fabulous day. Thank you all, highly reccomend! Dietary restrictions: Very good quality food even the gluten free options, all hot and delicious.
My brother had his wedding here and it was incredible! The vibe of the bar is awesome - speakeasy meets industrial-ish chic! The cocktails were fabulous, staff were super friendly and organised and the food all vegetarian was amazing, best food I've had at a wedding! The wedding/event planner was lovely and she made sure we were looked after and everything went smoothly, and the venue manager Dylan was lovely and couldn't do more to help. Overall amazing place.
Excellent service, the staff was incredibly prepared and welcoming, highly recommended if you are hanging near St. Paul area. Large selection of cocktails beers and spirits, fun and busy especially on a Thursday night when dj set take place. Top spot with cool atmosphere for a friends night out or first date ;
We got married at Harrild & Sons in July 2024. We cannot speak more highly of the team and the event they put on. Clare and Anj are dynamite coordinators, Martin is an incredible chef, and Dylan + his team are all-stars. From the outset they understood our vision and executed it perfectly on the day. We had 130 guests - mostly from overseas - and they loved the atmosphere of the venue. We strongly recommend H&S. We wouldn't change a thing. Thank you to the entire H&S team - you guys have a great thing going on.
Been coming here for years. Really convenient as next door to work Great place in the middle of chaos. Dylan, Canay, Deja, Jimmy and the rest of the gang are absolutely great. Top food, top service, and loads of drink choices on offer. What more could you want? Can't rate this place highly enough.Food: 5/5
