Nice sports hall, decent gym not for heavy heavy lifting, upto about 140kg max if you take all the 20 plates in gym. Mainly for cardio in that gym, huge swimming pool but sometimes a bit dirty, especially when there's a lot of kids. Best time to go would be before family swim session.
I've been coming here a lot on and off for years. While that experience has mostly been positive and the staff are very polite, recently it has felt neglected in certain areas. A lot of gym equipment is consistently broken and in need of repair or replacement. On top of that, areas such as the pool changing rooms often reek of urine and are full of people's rubbish. The pool also feels dirty more often than not. These areas could use work.
Leisure Centre: Not Bad, Car Park: Not secure. No issues with the facilties, use the badminton court alot. However the car park isn't secure, was only inside for less than an hour and someone tried to break into my van. Passenger side door lock missing, door panel scratched, rear doors tried to be peeled back. This facility needs proper fencing around and cctv. Can't even use it without being broken into. Sad times. Welcome to oldham leisure centre.
I have attended this swiming pool sawna and steam room a few years ago and enjoyed it. Since then I have some how been riddled with anxiety. I tried to attend last year and really couldn't Bare with all the hustle and bustle. Please could I recommend maybe placing some quiet times for people with anxiety problems. I know supermarkets do this . I hope this feedback gets to someone Would love to hear back from you
A good leisure centre close to the centre of Oldham. Has a carpark. Large and small pool. Gym, studios and large sports hall. Worth a visit.
I love classes but when is time to use sauna or shower. Is shocking. Dirty place, cold water running few seconds. Water machine often not working . Sauna over crawling by men sometimes around 20 is there. Nobody is.not checking plus guys enter with out pass to sauna. Shame as staff so nice there.
A very nice place for both adults and children to play and exercise
Say it’s good but have some issue pay for member band but if want to do swim can only be 8 people in member lane when surely should make more bigger lane for people paying for member band and give more access to pool. Just seen little bit stingy with how run the pool timetable wish their way to complain about it and also so many staff but never any their to actually help you in gym. Like all want to do talk to one and other look annoyed when you approach them. What point loads staff barely in right area to help and support you
Used this for a number of weeks now and the facilities are brilliant. I would compare these with any of the top class facilities around the country. The place is clean and well maintained. Booking is very easy and trouble free. I would give five stars but we have had an issue with the person working. The majority of times we go in, show our booking and use the facility. The people working are normally very helpful even giving us equipment when we have needed it. On one occasion the person working was very rude, deliberately taking time to find our booking, questioning why certain exempt members were not wearing a mask, insinuating that we don't want to pay for equipment which we did pay for but generally got for free to use. It was a horrible experience and a put off from using the sports centre. Sad to give four stars as generally its a great overall experience. On the same day, the lady even denied entry to a lad who wanted to use a gym. We've seen this guy using the gym every week we go. More needs to be done to encourage people to come and use the centre. Oldham is a great town with brilliant facilities.
Facilities include gymnasium area with weight lifting, free weights and cardio equipment. Swimming ‍ pool, Sauna and Stream room. Also the muti sports hall has 8 badminton courts and can be booked by members. There are peaks times where it does get extremely busy and there can be problems finding car parking spaces.
