A small park but I love it. I often walk here as I love the garden area's near the church. The play area for children is out dated and needs improvements but my daughter loves the swing with the tyres. It has big areas of grass for ball games. Its a nice big open space in the local area. It was really pretty the other week when we had loads of snow and not too pack when I went for a walk with my partner.
This is my third visit to this place, and I always find it so uplifting, with its historic buildings, gardens and park. I'm planning to go there again, this time early in the morning.
Historic area! This park is part of Yardley Conservation area. The parkland itself is historic farmland, which is evidenced by ancient horse-drawn plough lines. There is also a lovely little rose garden, a copse, an ancient moat and a church which has been there for many hundreds of years. The area is a pleasant little oasis in an otherwise built-up urban area. Please do not expect football pitches, basketball courts or extensive children's play areas, you won't find them here!
I love the old buildings behind the park which is a small village very clean and peaceful will be visiting again
It's alright. The playground is worn out, big slide removed due to an accident involving a child is what I was told. Graffiti written on the play area. The only positive - it's clean.
Litter around benches dispite ample litter bins and obscene graffiti on every park surface. The teenagers seem not to mind these things and gather daily after school. The younger children whilst enjoying the space for running, scootering, playing on swings etc. are curious about the excessive amount of male genitalia drawn on every surface and whilst I usually encourage my 8 year old grandson to read everything, this is not the place to do so.
Brought back nostalgia of when I used to go to the house on a school trip. A lot of interesting buildings and history behind it.
Lovely place to walk around, plenty of wildlife.lots of Squirrels chasing around.
Excellent park for walking your dog. Full of friendly dog owners
A small park surrounded by 100s of years of history from the church to the buildings. A good place to just sit and reflect and watch the local wildlife going about there daily life
