Great place to go for a walk, trails are well maintained. We took the dog, he loved it in the stream and mud. Unfortunately there are no dog poo bins, they could easily be placed at the main entrance off Yardley Wood Road.
We love taking the kids here, though it can be slippery when the weather is wet. It seems to be getting more popular so avoid peak times late morning - early afternoon at the weekend if you can.
Love it here! Always find a different route... A magical place.. JRR Tolkien fans should come see where he got his inspiration as a child... Peaceful and tranquil...friendly walkers and dog owners.. A little gem in the heart of Birmingham City..
Not a bad way to spend your free time walking around
It was really nice. Very different from other places I've been to. Fun to explore. Can take bikes or scooters. Parts of the path is like this entirely wood material. Might not be safe with bikes in the wet.
Beautiful patch of woodland. Mostly deciduous trees, with a good mix of species. Great place for walks and birdwatching.
Beautiful enchanting place. Good access generally a bit slippy under foot on some walk ways. With 80+ year old we returned to the better paths/wooden boarding. Steps alright.
Magical. Not much more I can say, from bronze age mysteries, to monster infested bogs, this place is an absolute treasure.
