Lovely place with a well maintained garden and plenty of benches to sit on and enjoy the views and weather. Small cafe if you fancy a drink and also two toilet facilities. Some information around the grounds on the history of the space and some of the aspects of the grounds and overall, I would recommend to anyone who enjoys beautiful gardens and a little bit of history to.
Really charming, quite a quick walk round... got a bit lost in the maze. Loved the orchard. Lucky with the weatherVisited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Beautiful garden with a cafe situated right by the entrance. I ordered cheese and onion toastie that came with a jar of pickle and crisps and it was delicious. Really worth visiting.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
A lovely garden with a variety of trees, shrubs, perennials and bulbs to provide interest in all seasons. Amazing very friendly staff. Lovely little cafe selling some of the best scones in the country. Also a small shop mainly selling local produce. Well worth a visit.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Some friends introduced us to this garden which was very nice and had some beautiful flowers and paths round a walled garden. A small maze too and a bummer house, and orangey. The tea rooms was also very pleasant and we enjoyed a cream tea there at a very reasonable cost.
What a surprise! Apart from the botanical gardens in Birmingham, this is a wonderful "hidden" garden within a city metropolis! There were lovely flowers, landscaping, paths and lawns. Bees were pollinating everywhere without being worried by us human beings. Butterflies of different varieties were lazily flying around. It was all beautiful. The funny thing was that our kids spent the most time nosing around the vegetable garden, seeing what was grown and what was still growing! We ignored the maze though. The holly-hedge walls looked a little too prickly for our liking! ...of course all of that was during the summer. It's all completely different in the winter; still good to walk around and see nature at any time of the year.
Loove the place. Enjoyed strolling and having a picnic in the massive garden.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo wait
We enjoyed a lovely visit to these beautiful gardens. The gardens were reasonably accessible for a wheelchair user. The only comment I would make is that the accessible toilet was right at the back behind the other toilets and baby changing with just enough room to negotiate the wheelchair around the corners to access the toilet. We had a cream tea in a box which consisted of a small plain scone with a helping of jam and cream. Although this included a drink we felt that for £5.00 it was over priced considering you could get a hot pie and a drink for £4.00. Overall an enjoyable occasion in a beautiful setting.
Castle Bromwich Hall & Gardens Trust is an ok place, nothing special around. Car parking is free, £5 for adult in the entrance need to pay, there is a cafe beside the entrance. And there is a place you can do a wedding. But 1 criticism I have is when I received a map the first thing I saw was a maze and I was so excited about it. But when I reached the destination point I walked around the garden, there was no maze, I thought I expect to have a big maze.
Wonderful place to visit, lovely gardens and location for Easter hunt. Re-enactment was amazing
