Incredible fish and chips!!! Cooked just right, very fresh and crispy. My hubby had the cottage pie! Was so delicious and authentic! The sweet bartender served us and she was the best! Irish coffee with whisky for dessert! Recommend this to anyone traveling through Dublin, Ireland! Vegetarian options: Beautiful carrots, Brussel sprouts! Kid-friendliness: Lots of children laughing and dancing to Irish song!
WOW!! So glad we made time to stop here for lunch. The cottage pie shepherd’s pie was absolutely delicious! So many warm and comforting flavors! The lamb stew was fabulous as well. We loved the brown soda bread that came with it! Definitely worth the visit! Already can’t wait to come back!
Our server Daniel was great! Food was fantastic. Highly recommend the venison special. Smoked salmon app and mushroom app were amazing. Highlight was Jake Suleman on guitar playing song after song. Kept the entire place entertained! Signing along and enjoying the music. Gotta go back!Recommended dishesFish and Chips
Very touristic. The food was good and I loved the live music. Also there is enough space that we didn't have to wait to be seated. However, it felt like a tourist trap. The waiter even verbally asked for a tip, which was rude and put the customer in a weird position...
This pub/restaurant is located right the the middle of it all. Busy area filled with people and bustle. If you are coming to the city in the middle of the tourist season, expect this place to be bursting. It is not a slow, quiet place. It is large, filled, and busy. It is fine for what it is, in that way. If you want a quieter portion of it, sit towards the back of the pub, where you can find a quieter booth or table. Staff was professional and attentive but so busy as to not have time to chat. Food was well-done and refined through volume.
Food solid, I would avoid steak, 29 Euros but very chewy and dry. Pate excelent, fish and chips too, chicken wings the best. Atmosphere very nice.Food: 4/5
Came here during a pub crawl and wow what an amazing time. Be warned the entrance can get quite packed so make your way towards the end of the bar where the toilets are for more room. While here order a whiskey and red lemonade which supposedly is only legal in Ireland due to carcinogens but definitely worth trying as its delicious. Live music and vibes were great. Would definitely recommend.
Good traditional Irish pub with great music and good Irish pub food. The beef casserole had a silky sauce, strong in flavours, aromatic with some good amount of thyme. The lamb stew had a good amount of vegetables and a nice broth. The chips of the fish and chips were excellent, not too think, crunchy but yet with a soft core, and not too oily.
Much as I like creamy soups, the Irish stew here was gorgeous - perfectly seasoned and with a good amount of lean but tender lamb. Ate up every last scrap. Also loved the live music by a singing guitarist. Great ambience and really spacious.Food: 5/5
Great ambience. Loved the live music. The drinks flow well and the food did not disappoint! Get there early to get a seat, this place fills up by 6:15pm almost every night.Food: 5/5
