Really nice Pub and Restaurant with good food and drinks. My perfect place to spend time in Dublin. Next to smallltalk we got nice hints for "what to see" in Dublin, not that tourist stuff.
Amazing place. Excellent food, nice music, good service. The beer collection displayed is awesome. Had a great time here. A must visit place in Dublin
Nice food and beer, very friendly staff. Pricey but worth it on the food for sure. Maybe less for the Guinness but it is a Touristic location so no surprise. Small place tho
Good food and drinks for a good price. Definitely worth the money.
Food and service was basic. It was nice to hear live music from the bar in front. It's an old building without ventilation in the kitchen which is close to the dining area. We really smelled like grease that stuck. We had to wrap that clothing in plastic when packing and required a shower to get rid of the smell.
Went here several years ago and didn't much care for the place. Was served a white wine in a Martini glass which was weird and very small, didn't expect to return here again but was meeting friends who picked here as the meeting point before a concert.I found the decor pleasant enough and there is a nice long bar with stools but there is something missing for me. I think it lacks atmosphere, the small stools behind the door are not very comfortable,a higher bench seat under the window would work better here. There was a group of visitors propping up the bar and they seemed to be enjoying their time here. We only stayed for two drinks but the cramped table was too uncomfortable with 4 of us at it holding our jackets on our laps a few hooks under the window sill would solve this. Found the bar prices a bit steep too and only supplying the smaller mixer bottles, I would have had another spirit if I'd have had mixer left .Overall it's ok but there are nicer more comfortable bars very close by.
Spent €60 and hated it all. My steak wasn’t even cooked or seasoned. My surf and turf had 3 shrimp, that’s it. My wife’s fish and chips had egg in the middle that wasn’t cooked all the way. Her ribs weren’t seasoned and the sauce was just spooned on. The service is also terrible- we were the only ones in there and we still had to ask for water. The only time I’ve ever left a restaurant without eating and it’s by far the worst food I’ve had in Dublin. 0/10
The live music was awesome and the buff dude behind the bar was super friendly. I just feel like it was a bit loud for my taste, but that depends on what you are looking for. Also I'm sure it won't be that noisy all the time! Will definitely come again when we're visiting Dublin again.
Had a wonderful weekend here. We were in here daily the locals are fab particularly Noel live music was excellent Steve was our favourite!!! Food was fantastic and really reasonable will deffo be making many return visits whenever we are in Dublin.
A nice and homely Irish pub with typical pub food and drinks. The pies and the stew tasted good. Of course, there’s Guinness without end, but this pub also has a good selection of craft beers. Overall, the prices were acceptable. The live music was great – especially when the crowd joined in and sang along with the guitarist. A great place to relax, to get to know other people and to have a drink on the banks of the Liffey. Not a typical tourist pub and frequented by Dubliners.
