I would not go here. Our table wasn't ready at our booked time and we were asked to wait at a table for 4 with our party of 7 until they could seat us somewhere else.
The table we were given looked like it has been stored outdoors and brought in for the busy evening crowd. Even after the staff gave them a clean, we still needed to clean them ourselves to get rid of the stickiness. The chairs were also covered in stains.
The staff were clearly overwhelmed with how busy it was. It took about 20 minutes to order our food at the bar. 2 staff behind the bar while about 30 people were trying to order was clearly not enough.
The carvery was very bland. Most of the veg were cold and the beef fatty and chewy. You ended up with Gravy covered hands, just to lift the lid to the gravy pots.
Maybe this place is not so bad on quiet days, but I would certainly avoid this during busy periods.

Good value for money restaurant. Do a nice carvery. Top class service today.
