Wonderful Sunday roast. The staff were extremely welcoming to us and our little puppy. The food was outstanding. Excellent roast the pheasant was a real highlight with generous portions of vegetables. The sticky toffee pudding was also wonderful. Steven who served us was great and we wouldn't hesitate in recommending this place.
We went with friends for dinner with our 4yo son. The food was absolutely AMAZING!!! Service couldn't of been any better all the staff are friendly and very attentive. Mains followed starters really well. The kids meals are a really decent size and delicious. Overall we thought it was excellent value for money. All whilst sat over looking the River Wye. We will 100% be coming back again.
Our first visit on new year's day and was amazing! Great atmosphere, staff were all amazing very helpful and attentive. Lager was lovely Madri and the roast dinner was out of this world!! I had pheasant it was cooked perfectly, my partner had beef roast she said it was amazing, and my parents had pork and lamb both really enjoyed it. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. Cannot wait to visit again soon.
Great family lunch after our walk . 6 adults 2children + 3dogs Helpful young staff pushed tables together so we could all sit together. Good menu for 2 vegans, 4 vegetarians , 2 carnivores and just sausages for the dogs. Good range of drinks. Many thanks ,wish there was more pubs like this.
Beautiful pub situated right on top of the water. Well decorated inside and feels very cosy! Their menu consists of locally sourced products great for all members of the family and they have the best vegan burger I think I've ever had for those who are like me and need the options as well as onion rings that are also vegan. Fast service and overall enjoyable meal!
The most beautiful pub I’ve ever been to! We went on a Monday afternoon during the Easter Holiday’s and sat on the side river bank with a wonderful view. The children loved watching the ducks go by and explored the river bank while we had a drink. The pub is beautiful inside and I only wish we could have stayed for dinner too. The offer a varied menu and the staff were friendly.
There was nothing I didn't love about this hotel. The evening meal was super tasty meat/dairy free, and the dining room is beautifully done out in wood and spacious. The top floor room was huge with everything you needed and stunning views onto the river. Bed was very comfortable too and lovely to have a BATH and a shower in the en suite. Morning breakfast was plentiful and cooked to perfection while we bird watched over the river....just bliss! Thank you to the lovely staff, who were so helpful and friendly. We'll be back :
Hands down the best food I've had not just on this trip, but on any trip around England from recent memory. Was not expecting the steak to be such a great cut along with being cooked so perfectly. Everything else looked great too, and staff more than accomodating. Went to all the other restaurants in the area and you'd be crazy not to come here.
Lovely pub! Great atmosphere, friendly bar staff and the most gorgeous view of the river with additional outdoor seating to make the most of the view. We loved our local cider and beer and would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a pit stop for a drink with a view!Service: 5/5
Very good, well run, great range of drinks, beers, wines, gins, and great service and tip top food! Very clean and "not sticky" as so many pub: tables, bars and floors are. The coffee is proper strength, nice and strong . Had a coffee first and then decided to stay for Sunday lunch.
