Very good, long-established Toby Carvery that's always popular & worth the drive in my case 25 minutes for the food & atmosphere. I've visited other Toby Carvery, but this is, in my opinion, cosistanly the best for quality of the food & service. Give it a try for breakfast or the Carvery, you won't be disappointed.
By far the best carvery we've had in a long time. Nice warm meal and the food was fresh and NOT baked and discolored by the heat lamps like you get in other places. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The place its self was clean. Obvious good management of everything. No-one was flapping or running around. Can wait to come back Well done guys! And HAY MANAGEMENT those guys deserve a raise/bonus Parking: Great amount of parking
I've been eating here for something like 20 years now. And I can't say there's been a single time it's been less than great. I always think you can tell the signs of a good workplace by seeing the same staff over and over. We usually get served by Dean and he's always a delight; friendly, polite and efficient. The food is always good, hot & tasty. Recently we've started going for breakfasts too and those are just as good. There's always somewhere to park, it's easy to get to, the loos are always clean and overall this is a billion times better than the welcome you get at another local Toby Carvery. We'll be back to Over time and again. Thanks Toby Team!
Very tasty roast and good value at just over £10 on a Saturday. I chose all four meats. Roast potatoes in beef dripping were very good. No real ales on tap unfortunately, hence the 4 stars. Service was very polite.
Very good. Warm and cosy on a very wet day today! Help yourself to food of course, but drinks and puddings were brought to your table. We think the Carvery was probably short of staff today, as just one lady was serving all tables. Nevertheless, she was polite and patient; the whole thing was excellent. Well worth it.Food: 5/5
Standard carvery, but very good choice and most of the time have got all of the meats shown. Loads of veg tasty gravy and choice of sauces. There is usually a big queue at peak times but quick and helpful staff mean you are not stood for very long. For the price it is excellent Parking: Plenty of room
Every time we visit it is wonderful. We visited yesterday and our server Dean was so attentive and aware of his surroundings. Food was lovely as always, we all know what to expect from a Toby and it doesn’t disappoint from Highnam. I do hope you pass comments along because Dean is a credit to your business!
Been here a few times and every time I've had very good service. The food is always well cooked and tasty. Very reasonably priced with special deals for children in holidays, but even normally the carvery is reasonably priced. Definitely recommend and I'll be going back!Food: 5/5
The food here can be a bit hit and miss but generally it's OK. Dean is amazing though. He's looked after us twice when we've been in and his service is excellent. He's friendly and polite so Thank you Dean we look forward to seeing you soon
Food was as incredible as always, waitress' were super helpful and really kind. Unfortunately, the queue for the food was a decent 20-25 mins which wasn't unexpected but due to having small children we couldn't all go for food at the same time. Would definitely recommend and we will be going again in the near future Food: 5/5
