Beautiful food. Good portions. Went for lunchtime and the prices were reasonable for the quality of food. Will be definatly going again!!
We popped in on our way home and were greated by a very pleasant young lady, she was very helpful with my mother's needs. Mum is a very small eater and the young lady said that she could have her meal in a child's portion which was great. The food was great and great value for money, another plus is that its dog friendly big plus for us,we will be back.
Restaurant prices and cafe type food. Some of it straight out of a tin and microwaved. Very disappointed. Portions very small, good job I don't eat much, I only eat a starter. Shame for the people I was with, they went home for something to eat. Didn't even see the bottle the drinks came out of. Was expecting special homemade bread, not straight from the wholesalers or supermarket. Won't be going back. Parking: No lighting, with obstacles in the way.
Wow! Ate here at the recommendation of our Airbnb hosts and what a SUPERB meal. Portions were generous and the food was exquisitely cooked, full of flavour and piping hot. Loads of choice and attentive but not overly fussy waiting staff. A 5 star recommendation from us and I look forward to eating here again. Vegetarian options: Plenty of choice Parking: Lots of parking in adjoining car park
Probably the worst experience ever, and not even had the chance to go. Tried booking a table and had the phone picked up then put down a number of times, then eventually had the phone picked up and just left off the hook so that I was left to listen to the bar staff in the background I will never go to a place that has such bad manners and terrible customer service. If the staff treat customers on the phone like this, I shudder to think what the service is like in the pub.
Went here last night with friends , i have been ill most of the night now , the plates were cold as well as most of the food i had fish and chips which I have regularly when out , the fish was mainly bread crumbs you had a very small portion of chips and for what you got it's over priced , I had been warned about the place ,I will not be going back there
Needs some TLC but lovely pub overall. Had a sunday roast which was very tasty, hot food. Would go back.Food: 5/5
Booked in for Sunday lunch,five plus one dog. We all had a different main and we all agreed that it was the best Sunday roast we have had. Definitely the place to be. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options are available on all the menus. Parking: Vast carpark to the side of the premises, easy access to the pub without going onto the roadside. Nice wide entrance.
Booked an evening table to meet friends as the website stated the opening hours until 10.00 p.m. At 9.00 the background music was turned off and the woman working behind the bar began closing, when asked why she replied as there was only two tables of a total of 5 people there was no point in remaining open and she was closing early. Had she come to our table explaining her actions we would not have been made to feel so unwelcome. She was abusive and unprofessional and obviously should not be working in the hospitality industry. Imagine if we all closed and left our businesses at our own discretion. As we left a car pulled into the car park and the people found the door to the pub was locked. I would urge people to go to the Gloucester Old Spot and not the swan if want to experience good food and courteous staff. We will not be returning but as the staff said she doesn’t care!
DO NOT EAT HERE. Me and my family came here for a joint birthday meal with a party of 8. The food was below average and the service was even worse. Horrible experience and we'll never come back. The manage wouldn't even come out the kitchen to hear our feedback and made the head waitress deal with us. Ridiculous.Food: 1/5
