My son and I stopped here after a walk in the Peak District due to the good reviews and mention that they cool in beef dripping as many places do not nowadays. I have to say the cod, chips, curry & gravy were absolutely amazing and the service matched that as well. We will definitely be back again when we are in the ares. Thanks Mark.
Cheap fish and chips.nBut in my opinion not worth the money.nThe fish was just ok but the chips were a waste of time they were so small and thin complete waste of time couldn't really dip them in my curry sauce.nIn my opinion you would be better of trying somewhere else.nBut they do seem to do a good line in cakes etc.nAnd it seemed busy with the locals .nSo I can only talk about the fish and chips.
We called in yesterday evening and ordered a large chips and cherry scone. Unfortunately, the chips were so greasy we actually couldn't eat them. When we came to the scone, it unortunately it smelt of chip fat. I can see there are some excellent reviews so maybe this was a bad day.
Great local fish and chips with great selection
Finally got around to trying and it definitely did not disappoint, you get a lot of good quality lovey tasting food for a good price! And the fresh cakes available were too nice to turn down, will 100% coming back again and will be recommending others to do so
