My son and I stopped here after a walk in the Peak District due to the good reviews and mention that they cool in beef dripping as many places do not nowadays. I have to say the cod, chips, curry & gravy were absolutely amazing and the service matched that as well. We will definitely be back again when we are in the ares. Thanks Mark.
Just stopped for a cheeky chips and gravy, and they were dreadful!nA greasy warm up at 1pm
All-round brilliant place! Food is delicious, the cakes are to die for, and the staff are always so cheerful and ready for a friendly chat - even when busy. They make you feel valued and that's why we will drive past three other fish and chip shops to purchase from this one
Cheap fish and chips.nBut in my opinion not worth the money.nThe fish was just ok but the chips were a waste of time they were so small and thin complete waste of time couldn't really dip them in my curry sauce.nIn my opinion you would be better of trying somewhere else.nBut they do seem to do a good line in cakes etc.nAnd it seemed busy with the locals .nSo I can only talk about the fish and chips.
Always very good Fish & Chips. Also always very friendly and helpful staff! Would 100% recommend.e
