Cool place to have a drink, take a date or a couple of friends. Live DJ, and some cosy corners. Usually great music, but not much of a dance floor.
A relaxed bar with an often good soundtrack. The beer selection isn't the biggest but rotates frequently and had a ever increasing bottle selection to back it up. The food is excellent, I had a one of their triple decker sandwiches and was glad to be sharing it as it was massive! Really good value for that portion size & the meat quality was good too. Had breakfast here in the past which didn't disappoint either. The highlight of this pub is the Wednesday night quiz. Get down early to guarantee a seat and you'll be treated to a fun quiz with unusual and more interactive rounds than most quizzes, and everyone gets a prize!
Great beer selection, good tunes. Not tried the food but the menu seems nice. Cosy smoking area; come here on a Friday or Saturday evening and you're bound to make a new friend or two.
A warm and welcoming establishment with a wide variety or beers, wines and spirits on sale as well as some tasty food. Caters for veggies and vegans too at a competitive price their breakfasts are great!. Weekends feature live DJs playing a diverse selection of music and some evenings feature live acoustic/band nights.
Pretty good. Food mainly sharers and small plates, all cooked well. Our son really enjoyed his cheese burger. Good range of drinks. Mixed crowd.
Some recent updates inside here. Great bar good food cocktails and beer choice. Shame about the occasional demanding parent who comes here and whose children the bar and seating arrangements must revolve around irrespective of the impact said children have on other people and their environment/enjoyment!
Great mix of ales, ciders and spirits - cocktails can be a bit hit and miss but all in all a great place to chill out and have a few beers with friends. Staff are very friendly but can be slow service on Friday and Saturdays due to volume of people and small bar area.
I'm sorry to say the Sunday roast was ATROCIOUS! I like the bar, its trendy, interesting, comfortable, staff are nice. However, the Sunday roast, made by the senior chef ! was the worst we have ever had. I cant believe they even served it. We got 3 rock solid roast potatoes each and a BLACK yorkshire pudding! It was inedible. When we brought this to their attention they took it away and brought the same food back with bits cut off and turned upside down! Unbelievable! We ended up asking for something else and enjoyed it, but it wasn't what we wanted.
This used to be our favourite place for breakfast. Lovely staff and service. Vegetarian sausages always just melted in your mouth. Not like the usual shop bought ones. Then a few times the breakfast was disappointing but we thought maybe it was just a glitch and it would be ok next time. The next time we went we were extremely let down by the breakfast`s taste, look, portion and also by the service we received. We stopped going for a while, a good 6 months! Today we met friends in Oddest and decided we`ll give it a go again. Maybe it has got better. We had Sunday roast vegetarian sweet potato, spinach and caramelised onion tart, with season greens and proper gravy. Sounds great yeah? Soggy soggy tart... with old dry veg, dry burned potatoes, rock hard burnt Yorkshire pud, I`m not gonna mention the carrots! Gravy... skin on the bottom of a gravy boat is not gravy. As I said, this used to be our favourite place to go.. Now I`m sitting here with stomach ache and feeling sick. I am never going to go there again and I will be recommending that others go somewhere else too. It makes you wonder what happened to this place..
Great menu with vegan options and a wide selection of cask beers. Good coffee and internet for those afternoon meetings too. Hosts a wide range of music events
