Definitely one of the best fish and chips I had throughout Scotland. I was in oban two days and I ate here twice. Fresh fish, really good tartar sauce. Fast service
It was as delicious as it was praised. The best fish and chips I've ever had. However, I can't say the same for the staff. It didn't make much sense that they brought the bill in a rude tone as if we hadn't finished our drinks and we hadn't even asked for it.
My first time in Oban and I couldn't pass up the chance to try the world-renowned fish and chips! The place was bustling, so I decided to get it to go. The customer service was lightning-fast and efficient. The fish served here is guaranteed to be the freshest catch in town. They even make their own mouthwatering tartare sauce. The fish was incredibly juicy and the batter was perfectly crispy. The sprinkling of vinegar and salt added an irresistible extra crunch and burst of flavor. I absolutely adored the whole experience!
Very decent fish and chips here, but not the best I've ever had. Firstly the place was very busy, and there is not a huge amount of room. Obviously they are maximising their available space. We both had haddock and chips. Fish was very good, in a light and crispy batter. Chips cooked very well. Worth a visit if you are in Oban.
Ordered local fish, Sole fish & chips since I had enough of Haddock. Absolutely delicious. Batter was not thick and it's crispy. Homemade Tartar sauce is divine.nnI saw next table ordering a large size Haddock Fish & Chip and its huge - worth the money.
