Planned to have dinner but all full. Finally booked a lunch in the restaurant.nnGreat service that we can sit next to the windows finally do remarks in the booking but not guaranteed. Relaxing place as we were early with not too many people around in the restaurant. Foods are all over average. But I believe dinner menu maybe more suitable for myself.
I would give 10 stars if I could! Located on the pier with amazing views, freshest seafood you could get, the staff is friendly and helpful in making choices. The oysters were perfect - I came here 6 years and the quality remains to the highest standard. It can get busy so reservations are recommended. Good variety of wines and cocktails.
My husband and I came here 6 years ago for our first date so it was only fitting we went here again to celebrate 5 years being married.nIt was very busy so make sure you reserve a table well in advance. The chowder was very delicious and so was the steak I had for my main dish. When I was here 6 years ago the steak wasn’t great so they really upped their game and prepared an amazing dish! My husband had the sticky toffee pudding and I had the cheesecake and I will tell you it was the best cheesecake I have had in a long time!nThe staff were very friendly and our waitress was very sweet and helpful even she was busy.nThank you for an amazing end to the night waterfront.
What a fantastic experience. The service and staff were brilliant. All staff were friendly and attentive, and the food was so fresh and beautiful. I had 3 courses with a class of wine which came to around £62 including service charge which I was more than happy to pay and I thought it was very reasonably priced for what I received. I was very impressed with the speed of service. From seating, ordering, serving up 3 courses, to paying up was only an hour. Not to mention the location is fantastic. It was beautiful watching the boats come and go in between courses
I had planned to eat close to the railway station so that I wouldn't be rushing around to find the restaurant's precise location. It was in sight as soon as I walked through the railway station gates.nThere was plenty time so I got some photos and videos nearby before lunch.nI already knew which starter I would choose. It would be the Trio of Smoked Salmon. For the main course I changed my mind and opted to be adventurous, choosing the Half a Lobster Cold. It was not a my preferred method of eating, and it seemed wasteful, but the food was good. Importantly, the food would work well prior to a visit elsewhere in town.nI also liked the name of the drink Pinky Promise.nIf eating seafood is for you and there were many in the restaurant on the day I visited I can recommend the place.nIt is in a prime location with a good view from inside.
