Awesome food. Their potatoes are delicious and the salads are really really good.
Small cafe inside the craft and design centre, nice atmosphere, good & good value coffee, and selection of cakes including vegan options for those such inclined. I had a brownie that was the size of my face, it was great. They also do toasties and other warm things. Recommended, would come here and pretend I'm arty again.
Fantastic service and quality. They helped us to make the selections from their varied and creative choices. Our guests commented on the lovely food and went back for more. Absolutely superb.
One of the best brownies I've had in along time! I've come to visit my friend and by chance we came by this cafe, and when I saw that they offered gluten free and dairy free sweets I just had to try some. I had an absolutely delicious, juicy and rich nutty chocolate brownie with an amazing natural, sweet taste with a hint of bitterness from the nuts take away. The cashier was friendly and answered all my questions regarding dietary requirements very patiently. It was a generous helping for a very reasonable prize. Next time I come to visit I will definately stay to have some coffee too - the furniture looks pretty and welcoming, the atmosphere of the place is just relaxing and makes one feel comfortable.
Friendly down-to-earth place, good home-cooked food and home-made cakes. Good range of healthier options, plus vegan and gluten free. Quite chilled out. If I made one improvement it would be to change the music to something more relaxed - quite loud pop and disco is a bit irritating.
Pretty disappointing. Cup of tea was nice but the pancakes were more like a muffin and when we advised them we didn't like them and they were really not pancakes the did nothing to applease a customer. The smoking mackeral toastie lacked any real mackeral favour. Been here before and it was good then but think it has changed ownership and today very disappointing. On this basis and poor response we won't be back. If you want a cup of tea its good but our experience that's all.
So I ordered blueberry and yoghurt pancakes, expecting something akin to crepes, boy that was a mistake. Something resembling a victoria sponge would be more accurate Apart from being massively over faced at a very reasonable price, this slightly out of the way cafe is a wonderful place to take a break in a relaxed and artistic environment. Will most assuredly return again, but will split the pancakes!
Nice cake, great toastie and nice atmosphere. Quite small...a little expensive...and the art gallery smelt a bit chemically the day I went so the cafe did too : Lots of vegan options.
Yummy gluten free brownies! The caring staff, peaceful atmosphere, value for money & portion sizes put Home Sweet Home to shame!
