Went here for brunch on a Sunday. We booked in advance as it is bookings only on a Sunday, so make sure you do on a Sunday or you will be turned away. Place was busy when we turned up at 11.30am. Greeted by a lovely host. The restaurant is small and cozy and nicely decorated. To drink we ordered Vietnamese ice coffee which could have been stronger, coffee wise. Then we ordered the Shakshuka, Avocado toast with poached egg and the pancakes. The Shakshuka was nicely spiced and the crispy chickpeas were lovely. Unfortunately my egg whites were still a bit runny and I would have preferred another slice of toast. My partner enjoyed his Avocado toast. The pancakes looked like Yorkshire puddings which I have never seen before! They were very tasty though. Light, not dense and stodgy. I would have liked some more sauce and possibly some type of cream. This place is also halal and do not serve pork. Overall enjoyed eating here and will be going back to try the Sunday dinner!
Lovely place for a meal when you want to be fancy but not too fancy. Staff were really nice but a bit confused when we asked for the group menu, same when we wanted to pay. Food was delicious and something I definitely wouldn't get elsewhere, although I wasn't personally a fan of the pudding it isn't a souffle!. Drinks were a little on the expensive side but overall wasn't too bad. Will defo be back again though!
We felt so welcome by the cafe crews, our first meal since touch down in Manchester. They made it so warm for us. The foods are awesome too. Don’t miss this little gem!Food: 5/5
I visited it last year, it was amazing in terms of food and service. I visited again yesterday, not too busy. The food is still great but service was so slow. It took them 50 minutes for shakshuka and a sandwich. The waitress never said sorry for the delay, she was not taking the service seriously. And then they added 10% service charge?
Went to Evelyn's for dinner on a tuesday night and couldn't recommend it more. We didn't have a reservation but got a table straight away. Atmosphere was great, not too noisy but had a cute vibe for a summer evening. Staff were lovely, made us feel very welcome and gave great recommendations on food and wine when we couldn't decide. We had a number of the small plates recommended, the hummus may have been the best I have ever tried, and the mushrooms were full of flavour. Will be coming back here soon to try the rest of the menu!

Visited Evelyn’s Cafe on Saturday lunch time. There was a small wait to get in as the place was very busy but the staff were very friendly and informative about the wait. Once in, the menu had numerous dishes that I would have loved to try but I went for the steak and egg with a side of zatar oyster mushrooms, and my wife the fish and chip. Both dishes were beyond expectation, every mouthful was a joy. Washed down with some of the best margaritas I’ve had. The whole experience was fantastic. And then came the fluffy pancakes, wow what can I say light fluffy the best pancakes I’ve ever had. Thanks team Evelyn’s. With a big shout out to Lucas in the kitchen. Thank you all for a great time. I will be back next time I’m in Manchester.
One of the best brunches in the city, and always very kind staff. Every time I come, they have wonderful food! Beautiful restaurant with really nice natural lighting. You will not be disappointed if you try Evelyn’s out!Food: 5/5
Went for dinner last night and the food was amazing. Personal faves were the fried courgettes with whipped feta, pistachio tapenade and black garlic, sumac chicken, salmon tartare and the incredible chocolate soufra which didn't make the photos as we all dug in and destroyed it! After recently drinking copious amounts of Basque Txakoli wine in San Sebastian, it was a real treat to see it on the wine list here. Topped off a great night. Thanks to all the staff who made us feel so welcome. Can't wait to come back :-
Excellent brunch options in a very nice atmosphere. Efficient service. We loved the pancakes and the ECG breakfast. Good to know: they accept brunch reservations.
