Came here after being recommended the coffee by a friend who says it's great. We all ordered the 'famous' hot chocolate and all 3 of us were disappointed. It was watery, distasteful and the quantity was not value for money. It was served in small cups giving it a rustic feel however did not give the satisfaction we expected. The place itself is cute, and has quite an artistic, original, hipster feel. Might be worth going back for coffee - but be careful as very limited seating is available and it does tend to get crowded.
Delicious soya hot chocolate which was nice and thick, no dairy in the chocolate so great for vegans. The ladies were lovely and the shop smelled amazing with great decor. Pop in of you are in the area.
Cool place with it own style. There are just four table in the shop however you can get your drink with you. They are some cakes and chocolates to buy. Prices as everywhere.
This is by far the most spectacular chocolate shop in Manchester, everything about this boutique is so adorable. It's very petite in size, with just a couple of little tables for those wishing to sit in and indulge. With an old fashioned traditional feel, this really does resembles something you'd see in a film. Everything is presented nicely too which adds to the temptation. The brownies are out of this world - not the cheapest but a real treat!
It's quaint and quirky and unsurprisingly serves the best chocolate. The hot chocolates are pure melted chocolate and you can lots of different flavours including salted caramel and orange. The chocolate cakes and brownies are also delicious. There's a section where you are also able to buy the chocolate. It's only a small shop/cafe though so there aren't many tables meaning you may have to wait to a while for a table.
If Harry Potter films had a chocolate themed cafe this is how they would design it. Quirky and intriguing, there owner serves lovely rich flavoured hot chocolate. We didn't have cake or truffles but I'm sure they are as good as the drinks. Hot chocolate was expensive at £3:50 but for me it was good value and worth it.
We had a hot chocolate and two different types of brownies... although I would not say they are very different since the only change was the topping pistachios and honeycomb. The brownies were good not the best for me although my husband seemed to love it, and the hot chocolate was a bit bland not very thick and needed and chocolate!. They have other things like bonbons, coffee and ice cream but I think is not the big deal. Nice decoration though.
Like walking into a gorgeous, cosy box of chocolates with an edge! Staff are so friendly and accommodating. As a vegan the dairy free hot chocolate options are amazing. I'm slowly working my way through the flavours. Always my pit stop when I'm in the northern quarter.
Hot chocolate is quite watery and tasteless - not thick and delicious as you would expect. The chocolates are extremely overpriced - at over £1 per chocolate, they're nothing special, and the stilton-flavoured one is vile. It's a strange place - only friendly to regulars I think. If you're not a regular you feel very uncomfortable, like you've crashed a private party.
The most divine chocolate shop in Manchester! The store itself is just adorable, with a kind of apothecary vibe with dark frontage, and rockabilly signage. The chocolate is in a different realm to anything you'd buy in the supermarket - great for birthday treats.
