A great care home staff go above and beyond, liaise well with family amazing entertainment team and staff get involved dressing up and dancing with residents. Choice of menu each day and if residents feel like something that is not on menu it is catered for. Cleaning is to a high standard, everyone is always smiling and friendly, management are supportive and promote a high standard of care, continue the great work everyone!
Never have i seen a care home that residents and staff are so connected and have amazing relationships, staff are always catering to the needs of the residents and there is never a dull moment in the care home, laughter and happiness when all residents get together to do activities. Many residents from different suites have brilliant bonds and love to spend time together, and this is all down to the amazing staff and management that go above and beyond to make everyday a different day for residents x
When looking for a home our mum, our first impression was not our last, hence us having now removed mum.nRegardless of what you are first told, this is what you can expect for your loved ones.nNo matter how many tags, labels or writing of names you put on clothes, towels, bedding they will consistently go missing, and your loved one will be walking around in other people's clothing, including underwear.nEven with our weather, I think prisoners get more fresh air than residents. My mum very much disliked most of what was served up at meal times, although staff did cater for her request of a boiled egg each morning.nThere are a handful of staff that truly are in the correct vocation, however there are some that most definitely are not suited to a care role!nThere is a lovely girl who organises and runs the activities, she does a great job, however I think resources are limited.nWe were originally told mum would have plenty of opportunities to join in on days out, again resources are stretched beyond limitation and days out are extremely rare.nManagement insist they operate on the legal requirement of staff, that may be the case, however I believe its not only detrimental to all concerned but also dangerous to operate on what seems to be skeleton staff. Also there are often agency staff that come and go, thus not gaining any knowledge of the individual and their needs.nManagement.....when I did approach management with any issues, I was met with a lack of understanding and promptly advised to fill out a complaint form.nI fully understand and appreciate rules and regulations have to be adhered to for the safety and insurance of all, but when a touch of humanity and common sense is required, that goes out the window as Management hide behind rules and regulations. I would also like to point ou they make some rules up as they go along, solely to seemingly suit their own narrative.nHaving prior experience of another home, once we realised that oaks springs promises are not what they say on the can, we have now removed our mum from their care.
Unprofessional conduct by senior management.But most staff hard working .What I've seen of food not very impressed .As of 4th April have now removed my mother to much better place. . Where I'mknow she will.get the care she deserves . After my awful experience with senior management I would find it very hard to recommend this care home .
Gorgeous home! The management are lovely and staff really go above and beyond for the residents.
