What a change in couple of weeks. Never met more dedicated people. Crisis team, nurses, doctors, cleaners... Most caring people ever met. So greatful for all that they done.

Ridiculous.  Staff interested in wages, don't seem to care. I see patients without shower for a month with long beard and burn their beard with lighters but staff don't care to not give the lightes to patients, may be they don't want to get disturbed but lock patients cream but give lighters??? Not a good care and too noisy fights with patients and can't sleep.  My son admitted but he only sleeps 5am each day but not give him meds to help sleep the antidepressants he was on not revised to get him sleep more than a month. I heard food is horrible and I take food every day for my son. They treat patients worse than animals and worse than prisoiners. No air coming in windows, many patients never been taken out for ap fresh air months and months. It's heart breaking to see,  much more to write.

I am a father of a patient who was in Broadoak mental health hospital and in my opinion the place should be knocked down.The patients all suffer from different mental health conditions but are all mixed together and are all able to walk around the ward corridor and into anybody’s room they want. My son was spiked in there and was rushed to the Royal Hospital where he remained unconscious but fortunately recovered after five days.It doesn’t seem to bother any of the Staff as maybe it’s a regular occurrence .

Been In here twice as a patient sorted meself out now last time was 2008 dump of a place and see in comments still not changed couldn't breathe in there when I was in windows don't open tiny little holes for air should be called nightmareoak

I hope no one has to experience Broadoak unit. When trying to find out a family member who has been kept there, they don’t seem to assist in any way towards their wellbeing or inform family members to what is going on.nNo doctors to speak to about her treatment.nAn OT phoned once.. for what reason I don’t know.nHaven’t had any news of a social worker assisting in my sisters care.nBut I suppose they are all on the payroll for doing ????WHAT keeping a 70year old person locked up. You would think they would improve access for people with behavioural health issues to treatment in the community without being locked up. I wonder how long they keep them. It’s been approx 6 months and I have never been able to see her. I agree with another reviewer phoning is disgusting... so I feel sorry for any one who has to go to this lock up unit and have caring families who only wants to help... because you won’t get it.
