Had great experience today at Nuffield Glasgow. Was extremely apprehensive and anxious about colonoscopy today but as soon as I arrived the team completely eased it. From arriving at reception the lovely lady showed me to my private own room complete with tv and private bathroom , sheer relief for me. To Jemma the staff nurse who explained everything to me and looked after me. Leanne who offered me something to eat for when I arrive back form procedurefood was lovely. Then to the main event the theatre team were honestly exceptional what a lovely bunch of ladies who kept me nothing but calm and made me feel safe they were all so genuine , real credit to Nuffield Barbara also your a gem ! Then to my consultant Dr komolafe…from my initial consultation to today he was extremely professional, so down to earth and made me feel at ease especially when I have generalised anxiety ..this goes a long way. Anyone looking for a GI , I couldn’t recommend Dr Komolafe enough I am so grateful for all their kindness and compassion shown. His expertise in this field is second to none ! Great hospital !!
I attended a Pre-op appointment at Nuffield Hospital Glasgow yesterday. The young lady who carried it out is excellent, highly professional, efficient, kind and very very thorough. I am very impressed with her handling of the process and now feel I have more confidence and a better insight into the operation I will be having in a few weeks. Thank you Colleen and very best wishes for your future career with the company! Also best wishes to the Pre-op team who are invaluable. Joan Charlton
I had a hip replacement procedure which was absolutely pain free. The surgeon, anaesthetist and team were very efficient and considerate. Once in my room I was treated with great kindness and attention by every member of hospital staff. The food was of a very good standard.
I recently stayed at Nuffield overnight after knee surgery, and I couldn’t have been looked after any better. All the staff were so lovely & kind & caring & made me feel very comfortable. I wanted especially to thank Mr Bell, Nick the anaesthetist, June, Elena and Jamie for all their care. Thank you all so much! x
The procedures were done with efficiency and care, and the consultant kept me informed every step of the way. The hospital was also smoothly run with patient care at it centre. Cannot recommend the consultant, David Lockington and the hospital highly enough!
Excellent service from the all members of staff. I had a problem with one of my eyes where the sight has been getting bad to a point where I couldn't even read wearing spectacles. Dr Lockington carried out a full examination and told me the problem and how it could be resolved. 20 mins later after some laser treatment and my sight has been restored.. Absolutely delighted with the treatment i received.
UPDATE: Nuffield responded to my complaint positively and i rescheduled my surgery with them. I have to say, start to finish they were fantastic. The clinical team were brilliant; the front desk staff down to earth and welcoming. I would use them again without hesitation.. Upgraded from one star to five :- My nurse was particularly fantastic, but they were all great. ----------------------------------- Do yourself a favour and the evening prior to surgery, call them and ask if they have sufficient staff. I was booked in, met with consultant, anaesthetist, nurse and getting ready to go.. then around 2 hours later i was told that my surgery had been cancelled and it was down to an absence they knew about THE NIGHT BEFORE. I was asked to leave the hospital and await a new date. no apology forthcoming whatsoever. Really poor, considering i was paying THOUSANDS as an alternative to waiting in an NHS queue. If you're in Greater Glasgow, you'd be better going with Ross Hall.
I want to thank Nuffield Hospital Glasgow especially Mr Joseph and his Team, Doctors and Nurses for the fantastic care and attention that I received getting a total hip replacement by robotic surgery. The experience I had at Nuffield was so traumatic they cancelled my surgery 23 hrs before! I booked time off work so did my mum a receptionist called me and told me. I have a bleeding disorder and the hospital told me they had the facilities and it wouldn’t be an issue, then back tracked and said they could no longer proceed once the money had been paid and everything had been finalised. In my medical screening before the op the person in charge googled what my disorder was. Medical negligence from the staff and surgeons has now left me in a deep depression. I cannot stress enough how bad and unprofessional my experience was and would advise anyone to stay clear
Have been here twice for outpatient appointments. Staff at main reception and doctors were very friendly and professional. But the lady at outpatient reception not as friendly as all other staff I met. Overall the experience visiting Nuffield were nice.
