Excellent care and attention during MRI scan. Nurses calm, reassuring and kept me well-informed throughout. Particularly useful to know when there were only four more minutes to go inside the scanner... Thanks for that and for other info througout scan time. Patients should expect to get lost in the corridors, but staff are on the look-out for lost-looking patients and will send you in the right direction.

Can't thank the nurses enough. I was a day patient getting a small operation and they were so kind, honest and really looked after me. Overheard a few other patients with different needs and everything seemed to be easily accommodated. Really fantastic group of nurses and doctors.

Had excellent treatment for a broken wrist a few months ago and today I was back, this time assisting a neighbour. Reception area and staff excellent again. My friend was taken almost immediately and received very satisfactory and reassuring  attention. Can't fault it.

Attended Endoscopy Dept at New Victoria Glasgow this morning. The staff from the receptionist,nurses and doctor down looked after me so well as I was very apprehensive and nervous about the procedure. Thank you all for your kindness you are all doing an amazing job.

Just been for a colonoscopy today, great team, was really nervous  was given reassurance and very well looked after Alison senior sister was really good and again supported my  needs. Great Team.

I was diagnosed with prostate cancer in May 2021. Like most prostate patients, I have had contact with lots of people from the Urology department. I would like to pay special mention to Kelly Ballie, Senior Cancer Care Pharmacist, and Katherine & Courtney, both secretarial staff. Kelly has contacted me regularly over this past 18 months and she has been a gem. Thank you Kelly. Recently I have had to contact the secretarial staff on a number of occasions. Both Katherine and Courntney are 'on the ball'. They fully appreciate that they are dealing with cancer patients and each could not have been more helpful and understanding. Thank you girls.

Appointment for my yearly MRI at the Imaging department at 7pm.  The hospital department that deals with this type of scan is located at the back of the new hospital. It was easy to find for us as we have been there before.  Obviously the department was empty as expected. Parking was easy  at that time of night although I can't speak for other times, it is a very busy hospital. Parking was free. There were plenty of disabled spaces, well lit and as it's a very new hospital all the disabled spaces were up to latest specifics regarding size.  The Imaging Department is located on the ground floor, so no stairs or lifts for me to comment on. The staff in the department were brilliant. Very friendly and knowledgeable as you would expect.  Greater Glasgow and Clyde NHS are using their hospitals as they should be used by offering people diagnostic scans out-with the usual clinic times and  these actions need to be applauded. Well done !  I live in East Kilbride, just outside of Glasgow, my Neurologist is based at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital at the old Southern General site. I have had MS for 23 years. My local NHS hospital is Hairmyres, but as I was first treated as an emergency all those years ago in The Neurological Institute at the old SGH, that is where my Consultant is and hence why I was sent to the New Victoria Hospital for my check MRI. I have to have one every year to check the progression of my disease and to stay on my beta interferon treatment. I do attend Hairmyres for MS Nurses clinics every six months as well. The NHS in Scotland is brilliant. I am grateful for their tireless work in looking after us all.  There are no photos with this review as what kind of weirdo takes photos in a hospital, busy or not? It's a breach of privacy and trust.

Hospital. Very clean. Nurses on Day Surgery Unit on my visit were exceptional. Could not fault for any reason.

To be honest I don't like hospitals. I have been here 2 days in a row helping a relative and it's quite a clean, modern hospital, with excellent, friendly staff, if you are sick  then sorry, but this would not be the worst place to come. The parking is good and free but a little difficult to find with a challenging crossroads at Battlefield Road.

My wife received excellent, prompt and kind treatment at the NVH Minor Injuries Dept. last week, for which many thanks Charge Nurse and colleagues. Isn’t it ironic, though, that the official website ‘Contact Us’ page only seems to have slot for ‘Complaints’ when what I was looking for was a portal to say Thank You!
