Had a parking fine for using an unmarked bay at the top of Timber Hill. I had previously spoken to a traffic warden who said it is okay to park here as it is out of the pedestrian zone. I paid. I appealed. They ignored my defense. I appealed again. They ignored all my points. No definitive answer given to why I got the fine. No care or customer service. Power = money? Does the stolen money make the city any better?!
Do not work for Norwich City Council without payment up front. They wont pay you then no-one answers the phone in accounts to chase. As a local authority they should be bound by the "Prompt Payment Code" but they ignore it. Ironic when you read the reviews below complaining about how agressively they go after non payment of council tax to them.
I have been contacted for a problem with paying my council tax, however the money is leaving my bank account as it has done for years. I emailed 3 weeks ago and no reply. Now I have received another email saying I am not paying my council tax.. Why not reply to emails
Tragedy! City Council to be liquidated - it is totally useless. They are unable to offer service for Norwich. They treat customers disrespectfully, cheat, avoid responsibility, etc. The service is at such a low quality as if we were living in a third world country. The windows in my block were replaced, but... they left half the block with wet windows that are over 30 years old. The roof is leaking and flooding the flats on the top floor. Every year tenants fight with wasps that build nests because there are no covers protecting the ventilation in the walls of the block.
Absolutely disgusting company that harasses vulnerable people and advises them to get into even more debt only to send enforcement officers! Absolutely gross company just like the rest of the government
The automated phone system is the worst I have encountered. It is impossible to speak to a human regardless of choosing every option available. Why do they make it that way. Oh that’s right, if we can’t speak to anyone then they don’t have to do any work!!
Unfortunately I haven’t come across a business more awkward to deal with. They have literally never done what they say they would, when they say they would. Completely at a loss of how I can get them to do anything.
The street has been sufferering with constant dogs barking in front garden for a few years now. Instead of making the owners put them in their back garden to reduce the stimulous nothing has been done. Spent Christmas day ha hog to listen to them constantly barking at nothing! And still it continues..
Love this city, but the council is terrible. I do everything I can to avoid interacting with them. The amount of tax they demand is way too high for the service they provide. If they were an actual company, they would be bankrupt almost immediately!
Way too much council tax for very little service they provide. Cool building tho.
