NOT GOOD if alone & disabled .1st social worker was when my unique Godmother was alive .We never saw him once in well over 6 years except when he came to Basildon secure unit for a review that didn’t take place in 2008 .Taken by caged van, 100 miles away, illegally. The 2nd social worker has left .It took more than a year for her to call a retired private Consultant ,kindly offering to talk to anyone concerning who I was & my conditions.Knowing us 14 years, why she chose to wait a year & just as she left ,who knows ? NO new social worker despite concerned calls from our support worker just go ignored. It’s become apparent very little was done ,she worked part time & messages never got passed on .It seems no point in having a social workers in our experience . They say you need Respite ,your not told you will incur hundreds of pounds .Why they charge I don’t know I bought my own sugar ,milk & most of my own food .Did my own washing & still had bills to pay at home .If your offered Respite you will be billed .SO BEWARE ! I have severe Dissociative Identity Disorder & Chronic Post Traumatic Disorder . As well as physical disabilities .They take £54.65 out of my ESA for 8 hours care which I don’t always get .My solicitor was informed it would be 10 .The social worker didn’t bother .You have to pay for all sorts despite the £S4.65 such as car parking fees if your taken out . Soon it will be petrol too . I feel sorry for caring agencies as they are the ones that’s jobs are in jeopardy,do all the hard work ,whilst social workers sit behind desks with no risk of losing their job . A care plan sent out recently is out dated & seems to be written by a senior person whose no idea about the conditions ,who is my surgery etc. Never even had the courtesy to meet me .it is written to cover themselves . I had no idea of finances,my beloved God mother unexpectedly passed away ,my appointee , power of attorney & 24/7 carer .She had my bank cards .I willingly let her have free use .In fact I was paying to keep her afloat as a hard working retired nurse had very little money to live off . I’ve lost so much .My dear God mother .Possessions & finances in the £1000’s .Her wishes in her will were ignored by her family .I fell foul to after 30 years .Hardly visiting yet like bees around honey the moment she died .Shopping on line here , something I’d never done before I’ve lost so much money . Looking at some of the places I’m great full that they made an exception & put me in a sheltered elderly complex .I’ve tried to make the bungalow look nice inside & out .[With support workers aid ]. Spending my money on the garden so as not to let the elderly residents down. There’s a lot of anti social behaviour dog fights , drugs & alcohol at Jenny Lind Park .I don’t go there with my Therapy Dog .Even walking our dog lads on bikes stop & ask us if we want to buy “weed & crack” ,sadly it’s everywhere . Isolated we have over 130 personalities with no control when & whom we become & can dissociate -being unconscious for hours to days. I have baby & child personalities left alone to muddle through the up keep of a home . Would society leave a baby or young child in a property alone unable to cook ,use hot water, deal with utility bills on time, clean etc ? I think not & there’s no difference . Having once worked for social services else where I know it’s not just Norwich . Our conditions worsen as one gets older & lacks treatment. Social workers will always do very little. It seems the more money Norfolk Council can take off you they will. A added payment of £22.50 a month for a emergency pull chord leased to another company & non existent on-site support .If you die they will hide the reality.I feel for the elderly here. Many ,like me have no next of kin or friends. I wonder what schemes will come up with next ? The UK usually follows America so Could it be Femma Camps?! Added update :Been given video door bell on loan. We can see who is at the door & a disability GPS +SOS tracker. Without the support of Together & St Martins I’d be dead
