We have a 4 month old baby who has developed a chest and eye infection and have called every day for 2 weeks now to see anyone and apparently there are no doctors there. Not that there aren't any appointments available, there's no doctors. If that's the case shut down. Utterly useless. Also my baby needs his jabs, which have been cancelled on 2 occasions and now won't be until mid January. Me and my wife both work hard for our wages and pay for prescription medication, and trust me we will not be coming back to your practice again. Horrible service just like the other doctor in there who we switched from. Seems there's no decent doctors in the shiremoor area any more.

I firstly would like to say a huge thank you to all the reception staff, nurses and doctors at this practice. My family and registered at this practice after moving to the area over two years ago. All the staff have always been a major support to my family and I, and I feel the need to express by writing this review that you all do a truly amazing job and it is so appreciated by Ruth, Adam and Eden Bage.

England manager should sign these receptionist up because you cant get past them to see a doctor. Heading to walk in centre now so much for personal doctors that know your history DISGRACE

I am finding it very very difficult to log in & order repeat prescription using your new set up,it does nothing to help 79 year olds. Please try & cater for us none technical oldies Reg Tulip

I have COPD, Diabetes and high blood pressure. I have been suffering from a chest complaint for about a week now with no chance of an appointment. I have had no sleep and because of my coughing I can hardly get my breath. Today 16/07/15 I managed to walk to the Pharmacy which is next door to my Doctors. The Pharmacist (a lovely Irish girl who's name escapes me) said that as she knew what medication I was on it would be better if I went next door to see the Doctor or a nurse and get a prescription signed for an anti biotic. I duly went next door and walked right into the practice nurse, told her my problem but she said she could not sign a prescription.She suggested practice nurse Michelle. I turned to the receptionist who was behind the desk at this time and had turned all the lights off to ask her if she could help. Just then Dr Young came out and acknowledged me but as I started to speak he just turned his back and walked back to his office. The receptionist suggested as they were now CLOSED I could go to a "walk in centre" in Wallsend or she could give me an appointment for 7.30am the next day!! I just walked out, went to the Pharmacy and got a "simple linctus" They could not believe what had happened. Is this CARING for your patients? So here comes another night of coughing and not being able to breath or sit upright and watch tv and drop of sitting up but then you slip down and wake up. What is the point? This practice used to be the best in Shiremoor but has now gone down hill.Nobody will take ownership of a problem (well there is 4) and just do their own job with blinkers on. When you speak to them it is as if they are reading from a card. They are so rigid in their decisions you know you are not going to get anywhere. Who told them to do this? They were actually CLOSING for TRAINING!! can you believe that? you could not make it up! Would love to know who does the training and what it cost's. A ship needs a captain to steer it in the right direction and believe me this is heading for the rocks. If this was a paying customer paying based business it would be going bust if they treat their customers like this. Will just have to sort my chest problem myself. What a pity I have had to write this, but unfortunately it needs saying. I will probably by taken off their list now.Think I am being too fair with the two star rating but the one star is a bit too strong, maybe one star and a half.
