Cornish inspired Modern British restaurant, bar and terrace by Millennium Bridge, opposite Tate Modern, outstanding river views and Ronnie the Bulldog
Located next to the Millennium Bridge on the north side of the river Northbank was created and opened by Christian Butler (ex-Adam Street and Baltic) in September 2007. Northbank offers a Modern British menu with a Cornish influence showcasing exceptional ingredients sourced from Christian’s hometown of Falmouth and surrounding areas of Cornwall in the south of England. Fresh fish is delivered daily from day boats off the Cornish coast.
The striking 180 degree view from Northbank's terrace encompasses the Millennium Bridge, Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, Tate Modern and the Shard and the restaurant is just a short walk from St Paul's Cathedral. The terrace is open for al fresco dining during the summer months and can be hired for private parties.
In addition to a discerning wine selection, taste the excellent Cornish Mead, a honey based alcoholic beverage enjoying a revival since it was first brewed in monasteries during the time of King Henry VIII. West Country ciders, real ale, eclectic cocktails, Champagne and bottled beers from small producers all make an appearance on the menu.
Northbank's team are delighted to create bespoke event experiences for guests including corporate lunches/dinners, birthday parties, New Years Eve parties, wine-tastings, press events, summer parties and wedding receptions. Total venue hire is available for up to 175 or book the terrace, restaurant or bar spaces exclusively.
