My wife and I went here for a celebratory dinner, and it was easily the best dinner I've ever had. The steak was cooked exactly as asked, the sides were flavorful, and the drinks were equally as good. Our waiter Tanyck was very attentive, polite, personable, and even rearranged the table to suit our needs in a fashionable way. Highly recommend.
Good food, not so welcoming and cold service there’s reason for it and we found out later, expensive and overpriced comparing to other better standard restaurants in London. First time here and will be the last. Sad to hear that the staff don’t get to receive the compulsory 10% service charge they imposed. Give the tip straight to the staff not the restaurant!!
Enjoyable lunch at the Chop House, food portions were good. We had a nice bottle of wine. Our waitress was really good. Only downside was the chocolate pudding was pretty average. Expensive lunch but was enjoyable.
Our first visit to Paternoster chop house and were very pleased with the experience . It was very quiet probably due to a lack of money just after Christmas .Restaurants we passed in the local area were equally short on clientele. One downside of this was that some menu items such as Oysters and catch of the day were unavailable .However the food we had was very tasty and high quality. The service was good and the server gave a good recomendation for my steak . The overall cost was comparable with other restaurants in London .My wife chose the fixed 3 course menu which was very reasonable . Overall a good choice of venue for our overnight stay in town.
We came here for my birthday and had complimentary champagne and a dessert! For main we shared a chateaubriand which was delicious! Food: 4/5
Amazing food! Fillet highly recommended. Just one thing to take into consideration: they take their times to prepare the food. Unfortunately we were in a rush and need time to comeback office. Apart from that, everything is greatFood: 5/5
I went to Paternoster Chop House for the first time last week and what an experience. The food especially the steak was delicious, the service was great and it had a great ambience. I found the prices pretty comparable to the usual chain steakhouses and it was worth every penny. The steal melted in my mouth and the desserts looked delicious. If you're looking for somewhere to go on a date night or for something special this is somewhere that should be on your list
It was a good meal, but I wouldn’t say it justified the price. I ordered my fillet medium rare and it arrived medium, it wasn’t the most flavoursome piece of meat either. The mushrooms and potatoes were nice but nothing special. Definitely not bad, the interior is very nice and the service is friendly, but I think there are better value for money steaks in London
Spent around £180 on this with no drinks including service. Was not worth it. Ordered the oysters, the porterhouse, chips, creamed spinach and sticky toffee pudding. Oysters were not shucked professionally. Had shell fragments everywhere so as I was eating it, it felt like I was chewing on sand. We had to send it back. Apparently it was the chefs first time shucking oysters. Main highlight of the dinner was supposed to be the porterhouse which we ordered medium rare but as you can see in the picture below, the fillet part was well done and only the part closest to the bone on the sirloin side was medium rare. At £12.5 per 100g, this was probably the worst steak due to cooking quality I've had in London. Flavour wise the meat didn't really have much flavour but the fat had the typical cheesy taste you'd get from dry aged beef. Nonetheless, it is a 0 star because of the cooking quality. Sides and desserts were great though chips could've been crispier. We did speak to the manager about this. I would suggest that people stay away until they train a new team. Edit: I tried emailing the email provided but it bounced back.
My friend and I had lunch - the restaurant was quite empty. The food was okay - one portion of the fish looked quite small. The three stars is due to the fact that there were some items which weren’t available from the quite limited menu. Price was a bit on the high side as well.Food: 4/5
