North Devon Homestead Holiday Cottages

WARNING: DO NOT GO THERE! Owner is not truthful , rude and arrogant . Please don't spoil your holiday As the cottage was in village and in a secluded area we though it would be nice and cosy as mentioned however inspite of being with 3 kids the heating pattern was controlled by the owner . When we requested for the pattern to be changed on the Christmas eve the owner got offended and blamed us of spoiling her Christmas Eve . I think they should not let out their property in the Christmas period as if they expect no one disturb , we had kids and the heating was not their from 11 at night till 4 pm next day and property was really cold . Because they couldn't control the temperature and have regular timer due to old heating system so they themselves offered us have longer times and because of that it became too hot and uncomfortable . As per the short stay we paid extra money for heating but still we couldn't make the owner happy and she kept asking for more money . The day we were leaving the owner was rude and shouting at us and told us to go out of the property and even though we had kids , she was not ready to lend some extra time . She was very very arrogant and most rude owner we have ever come across. The couple needs to learn some basic etiquette on how to to talk to their guests. We had concerns regarding the heating and child safety which were not even heard let alone providing a solution.The Dishwasher did not work, the hob took ages to cook something, the heating was all messed up it went hot at one time and so cold at other! There were some age old books and stupid board games for Entertainment which don't even exist in this day and age! We went there with 3 kids and the cottage was not at all child-safe.When we raised concerns she started fighting and asking for more money! They ruined our holiday. This was our worst experience EVER!
