Woodlands Guesthouse

Wonderful place to stay, run by wonderful people. The rooms are comfortable, within convenient walking distance of nearby towns, pubs and restaurants. Breakfast is generously sized, and will keep you going the whole day.

Top place and highly recommended. Unique, characterful building in beautiful surroundings. Great hosts, lovely breakfasts, comfy beds in nicely modernised bedrooms. That's all.

My wife and I have visited Woodlands before and thoroughly enjoyed it, we returned this year and the owners, Steve and Lesley, greeted us like old friends! It is a impressive Victorian house that is presented beautifully. Our room was immaculate and had a lovely view across the valley. For breakfast I had the 'full English' whilst my wife had scrambled eggs and bacon. Both were individually prepared and a absolute treat to eat. The surrounding area is stunning with wonderful walks and beautiful sea views. We will definitely go back!

Stayed here last week. Absolutely fabulous guest house with immaculately clean and beautiful rooms. I stayed in room 6 which had a fab drench shower. Breakfast menu is diverse with everything from traditional English breakfast to smashed avocado on soda bread with cherry tomatoes or try Steve's amazing real poached eggs on wilted spinach. Loved it! Makes such a change to have such choices on a breakfast menu. Foo was fantastic. Well done Steve and the lovely Lesley for making my stay so memorable. Will definitely return soon.
