We recently held an 80th birthday party at The Norfolk Arms. The staff could not have been more helpful. They were very flexible and accommodated the several allergies and intolerances we had. The function room was set out beautifully, the food was excellent, the staff were friendly and efficient. Would definitely recommend this venue.Service: 5/5
On a visit to Sheffield to visit family and stayed at Norfolk Arms. This is a home away from home. Excellent friendly attentive staff. Meals great, room great. So much better place to stay than the “Corporate Chain” hotels Rooms: Cosy room Nearby activities: Close to Sheffield and all activities if you have a car Food & drinks: Good food at reasonable prices with drinks the same Noteworthy details: Friendliest place I’ve been after travelling for 40 years
The pub itself is a really nice establishment. Nice country feel to it and the staff are amongst the friendly ive ever had the pleasure to deal with. Credit to them and the team that put them together. Room was ok. It was clean and everything worked so that's all that's required but it nothing special...well not the room we were in..maybe others are better. The view out the back though across the valley towards Fulwood is just awesome....not many places better to have a pint. Food was excellent as well....probably best fish n chips I've ever had in a pub.
The location and the views are stunning. The staff were brilliant and the food was excellent with a great choice of home made food. Stayed in one of the annex rooms. Would have preferred to stay in a main room. Overall the best hotel we have stayed in for a long time.Rooms: 4/5
Went for a family lunch, lovely clean pub with loads of seating indoor and out. Typical pub grub , well cooked and tasty. This place is on a popular walking/hiking route and has beautiful views. They also cater for and welcome dogs who have their own treat menu !Service: 5/5
What a great place. Stayed 2 nights while doing a bike event. No issues with keeping bike in room. Good size room, nespresso coffee. Food was top notch pub food - all v home made, although not Cotswolds gastro fancy - filling a v good value. Beer great, staff all super friendly and on top of everything.Rooms: 5/5
Went for lunch. Lovely people serving. Tables outside but no sun_shades. Food ok good selection, but nothing outstanding. Pies had too much pastry and vegetables Little over cooked. Having said that we will probably go again.Service: 5/5
What a breath of fresh air! The Norfolk Arms is everything we could have wished for, dog friendly, a level of hospitality second to none, and the friendliest and most welcoming place we have visited in a long time. Super tasty and perfectly cooked rare rump steak, generous portions, even the scampi which is usually the same everywhere shone through with chips and a tasty side salad! Stopped over night with electric hook up so can’t comment on the rooms, but fabulous views, and a big thanks to you know who you are! for the portion of brown sauce. Hope to return before long, and again, thanks to all for making our stay so enjoyable LP&littleDog
We had a meal and a couple of drinks with a couple of friends at lunchtime and I had a lovely bacon and brie panning served with fresh salad and fries, my wife had a cheese and tuna panning with the said salad and fries. A really good tasty lunch and enjoyed by all four of us, the service was excellent and punctual and the waitress was friendly, very efficient and polite and we have no problem recommending the Norfolk Arms for a good lunchtime visit. Pat.
What a find! The room was excellent, I have mobility problems but they happily accommodated that - spacious, warm, good views and superb bathroom. The bar area was olde worlde, welcoming and very comfortable. The food, too, was very good, with prompt, well plan Ed service. Thoroughly recommend. Rooms: As stated, excellent. Food & drinks: As stated very good.
