The nicest meal we’ve had in a long time! The food was great, drinks great, staff very attentive! A lovely birthday meal out, thank you!Food: 5/5
Eaten here several times over the years.Never been disappointed.Quality British food, cooked to perfection.A strong contender for the best restaurant in Didsbury. You want A romantic dinner, special occasion or if you just want to treat yourself, this is the place to go. Excellent unobtrusive service and a nice ambience. highly recommended Edit: recently revisited and although the service and ambience were the same, we thought there was a slight dip in the quality of the food. Hopefully this was a temporary glitch and on our next visit, it will be back to the same high standards.
Food was brilliant. Some stuff came very plain, because it went well with the flavours of the rest of your dish. Nothing is thrown together, everything on the dish compliments each other. It’s like sitting in a living room. Very quaint and lovely place. The sea bass was divineFood: 5/5
What a hidden gem in Dibsbury! The menu is simple and there’s not a huge choice but each dish sounds enticing! Using locally-grown or sourced produce is the restaurant’s mantra and are masterfully cooked by the chef. The restaurant is cosy and has a homely-feel. Advance booking a must!Food: 5/5
Went here again last night for another amazing meal! It's one of the few small restaurants we've ever been to where every single course is something you want to come back for. I don't know how the chef can make such lovely mains AND desserts! Needless to say we'll be back soon! Vegetarian options: Vegan options Dietary restrictions: Clearly labelled gluten free dishes
Really really excellent food and service. The menu is relatively small, yet it was still tricky to order as all the dishes sounded delicious. The lamb was cooked to perfection and melted in the mouth... and the baked cheesecake was beautiful.
Really an exceptionally good restaurant in Didsbury. Difficult to get into for very good reason. Book in advance Food is perfect and very good quality, a really good selection of items and exceptionally good service. Thanks for a lovely evening
Had a lovely evening here for my mums birthday! Great drink selection, delicious food and very friendly service. We will be back!Food: 5/5
Perfect in every way I travel regularly from my home in Oxfordshire to eat here whenever I am in the area and highly recommend this cosy comfortable gem of a place It’s by far the best restaurant in the area and has maintained it’s excellent standard for many years Family owned and run uses the very best produce always to perfection The service and welcome is always friendly , helpful and unobtrusive Dr Phil Wander
My husband and I went for a dinner to No4. Unfortunately, on this occasion, my food was rather average. For a starter, I ordered Rockfort cheese with beetroot and pear. When it arrived, pieces of bland beetroot and pear were accompanied by a few small crumbs of Rockfort cheese. For the main, I had a seabass. The whole dish was unseasoned and rather flavourless. My husband choices were much better. He had soufflé for a starter and a steak for a main, which he enjoyed. Perhaps I was just unluckily.
