One of the largest and oldest hospital in Scotland. It is combined with medical studies with University of Dundee. Multiple car parks and Staff car parking facilities. Free parking due to Covid 19. This hospital also have free ATM facility and also have security staff round the clock. Retail shops like WH Smith, Café, Hair Dressers and Sandwich shop at the main entrance. Helpful and approachable staffs. Cold and Hot drinks Vending machines at the entrance. Gift shop and Royal Mail Post Box which is very handy.
Brilliant place staffs are friendly and helpful from reception area to medical departments to canteen . Neurology department exceptional brilliant attentive caring staffs . Massive place but very well sign posted so it’s easy to find your way and very clean . I only rate 4 star because all car park are full and nowhere to go we waited for over an hour from 8 am . So I would say give yourself plenty time for parking. Another exceptional service they got translators in so many languages including sign language.
Fantastic treatment. Great doctors and nurses. Very caring staff. Came,in as emergency with fractured hip and ankle and was seen right away. Great food congrats to the chef for making the meals so tasty especially the soup. Couldn't have asked for better treatment. Thank you all so much
I am being quite generous with the one-star rating. The patient-care is appalling. I have been in hospital for almost a week and yet no-one has even given me at least 30 minutes of attention for my painful state. They think because I am more on the young side that I am perfectly fine, whilst my abdomen pain is unbearable and they keep giving me morphine as if that will stop my pain - find the cause instead of dismissing my feelings and pain? The gynaecology department looks straight out of the 70s and the person who sent me to that department made me sit in horrible pain on a chair and said do not touch the bed because they’ll have to clean it. What on Earth? A bed is more important than my state? They also keep shrugging me off and trying to send me home with NO diagnosis or anything. Just a bunch of painkillers that keep me awake all night in pain. Its absurd. A disgrace. I know being in healthcare is a pressurising job but why get into this career if you cannot even adhere to the necessary skills to deal with patients? Where is the empathy? Where is the patient care? Its a disgrace. Its an absolute disgrace.
One of the Best for removal of Basal Cell Carcinoma on my right side of my face. Excellent experience from the Medical and Nursing Team especially Dr. Shaker and Claire. Many Thanks to All.
The worst A&E I have ever visited. They do not prioritise accidents or injuries. Also they treat people base on the ethnicity or race. My wife’s hand got burnt and we went to the hospital around 8pm. They took 4 people inside who came after us and when I questioned it they laughed at me and they blamed me. If you are black or asian do not visit this hospital, they will not treat you properly. It is 9.40 pm and still we are waiting at the queue.
The service is very bad. I have been waiting for 3 hours. My child, 4 years old, is very exhausted. From 4 hours, he vomits. Doctors and nurses laugh inside. Whenever I ask them when is our turn, they say we are very busy. I hope this does not happen again, especially from young children.
The staff at Accident and Emergency Dept and Ward 23A are absoloutely excellent. The care given to Mum was outstanding. THANK YOU .
A number of visits recently to different departments and each time I received excellent treatment and was seen on time.
I took my mum to the eye clinic today for a 1pm appointment, but when we arrived the reception staff informed us that the appointment had been cancelled back in May, and rescheduled. Unfortunately the letter had obviously been lost in the post, so we were unaware. After informing the receptionist that I couldn’t bring my mum back on the next date she went to talk to the nursing staff. They very kindly agreed to see my mother and do the scan that she was there for. All the staff were so pleasant, efficient and courteous. I’m so very grateful to them for all that they did today, and for mums treatment on previous visits. A fantastic team.
