The has has been my Dental Care Centre for few years now, Each time, regardless of appointment, Scale & Polish, Emergency issue or general check up genuinely the team have been fantastic. Thank you to Rebecca and team as they really do try their best to accommodate you best they can, place is spotless and could not do enough for you.
Can’t fault the team at City Quay Dental clinic, from Jessica and Louise on the desk to all the dentists that seen to me; from my dentist Mairi-Louise and her nurse Carys to Adees and Sienna who looked after me getting my filling treatment. Manager Becky went out her way to make sure I was being looked after, thanks again team
In 2012 I visited this dentist and asked about getting abit of restoration work done on my teeth. The dentist suggested crown and gave me a price of about 7 grand. I said this would be fine and would go ahead with it. As soon as the temporary's went in they felt huge I went back to the dentist told her this didn’t feel natural and I thought something wasn’t right. She assure me the temporary we’re just abit bulky and the crowns would be fine. As soon as the crowns went In I new something was very wrong I went back to the dentist and told her they would have to come out and be put back in better. She said I’d have to pay her again they would remove the upper teeth and try and put them back in better. This was done but there was no change it cost another 3 grand. I felt the teeth at the side were kinking me up and my lip was off ! I complained to the guy that owned the practice and he said I had an infection to take some tablets and it would settle down. This never happened so I went back. Was basically told I’d have to take it up with the girl that done them because she just worked there ! Anyways I went away to another dentist who had treated me as a boy he told me everything was wrong and she’d put me in all wrong quoted my 10 thousand to fix the problem! But this wouldnt fix the problem I was having with the side. So I complained to the dental compliants commission. I was left for about 3-4 year when I received a letter saying they thought I was elegiac to proclien. After seeing someone at the dental hospital they said I wasnt elegiac to proclien but my bit was of. Anyways about 5 years later they agreed to give me a refund. Thinking I’d just be able to go get this sorted I went to another private dentist to get a 2nd option they said I would have to go and see a specialist to fix the problem I was having. I went to the specialist and he seen the problem! The specialist said they would get my moulds sent up to see exactly what they did. I was called back to the specialist a few weeks later to say these guys had lost my moulds and explained to me this would cost 10s of thousands to even try to move this and put this back into place. He advised me to remove the side and try and put them in better. So this is what I did but there was no change the dentist that did them had already faked these things in. I went back to the dentist and and told him I was still having this problem he said I’d need to go see an orthodontist iv seen 2 orthodontist who have told me my teeth are all out at the side. I don’t think this is common practice to give someone a few mouth of crown with teeth that are out. I can only surmise that I had such a severe grinding problem my teeth had moved over the years and instead of sending me to an orthodontist they went right over my teeth with crowns. The orthodontist has said they can’t fix it because my teeth are crowned now. I would seriously stay away from this dentist ! hope this is an absolutely savage review. Would like to here from the from the guy who owns the practice to see if he still thinks I have and infection Sent from my iPhone
Excellent service five stars best dentist by far thankyou for the smile.
If it was possible to give this Dental practice zero, I would have!!! , my filling has come out again after two days which seems to be common practice. The filling would normally stay in place for at least a year but now it's usually between two days - two weeks!!!
All staff very professional and Martina makes you feel relaxed when undergoing treatments
Mentions 'quick appointments' on the website along with 8 dentists, 2 receptionist etc etc Phoned yesterday at 10am and was told to phone back today at 9am to make an emergency appointment for my son. Now 10.02am and still on hold. 62 min on hold so far seems to be acceptable to this company. Send kids to school, then wait on the phone for what seems like an eternity, to get an appointment maybe, pull kids out of school and take them to their 'quick appointment'. I think the quick appointments boast on the website is a 'little' misleading. Not to mention making patients wait over an hour to 'possibly' make an appointment is pretty shameful. But never really had to deal with a dental practice like this after the pandemic, so while I think this level of service is shameful, it is possible that this is the norm now.
Called to book a checkup because its long overdue due to covid and what not. Been informed that there will be no checkups until February. Then requested to be booked in for February since that's the earliest and I've been told to call back in January as they can't pre-book appointments. What? That's incredibly unhelpful. Guess I'll need to find another dentist.
extreme staff shortages over the past few months has really let this clinic down! how can a big practice such as this is, only have one dentist working? it advertised no long waiting lists to see a dentist, when it reality, even for emergency treatment, i had to wait for almost an entire week to get an appointment! happened on more than one occasion. with a very rude receptionist & no dentists partly due to 3/4 week holidays at a time, per dentist equalled time to change my dental practice! to be fair... every dentist i did see, were all fantastic & the other receptionist short dark hair, natural looking- Laura perhaps?? is a lovely girl especially compared to the other receptionist working beside her shame about the staffing issues. even with the new dentist hired, it was too late for me.
Fantastic dentists. Rachel Dack is my dentist. She's a lovely woman, as is her dental nurse Laureanne Smith. I always have a laugh with them both. And Gemma the practice manager is lovely too as is the new receptionist Don't know her name thou
