I visit this pool around twice a week and enjoy it very much. The staff are friendly and approachable and the facilities are decent. The gym equipment is fairly new and kept in really good condition. The changing rooms are large with lots of lockers. Only issue is that the gym is pretty small so it can fill up really quickly.
Although this place need a serious renovation it is still good for kids to splash around, especially on a hot summer days. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Entry costs are small, only few quid and if you are a local resident they will give you a card which you can use to enter the pool for FREE. One of the main issues are opening hours, pool is open from 10am-4pm Monday to Saturday and Sunday is closed. The other major issue is that the building itself need to be renovated. Other than that, I would like to recommend this place to everyone.
I would like to say that the pool is clean but the lifeguards are really stuck-up, rude and controlling in what you do. There is absolutely NO FUN! Bad experience and will never come back here again. My daughter had her first swim lesson and she fearful of the water so she was struggling to swim which is WHY i took her to a lesson. The teacher decides to tell her to "GET OUT OF THE POOL!". There is no mirror or a sit-down place to see how your child is progressing. Who knows what they do whilst your waiting out of the room until the time is up. Safety should be your number one rule. Staff are LAZY! Absolutely NO care and zero tolerance for the children. I do not recommend you come here. Disgusting behavior!
Great gym with a great view but the equipments are old but not all functional, the cleanliness is poor needs improving, the changing room is decent with the old pound coins or with shopping coins lockers. Swimming pool is huge including a child toddlers pool, great rear car park, staff are friendly.
Pool need immediately attention. Paint is coming off from ceiling. Changing room is full of other machines and stuff. We ve have told a female trainer will give training to kids. But there was a male trainer. Actually he was a life guard, he wasn't even putting his foot or getting wet his hand in the water. He was giving instructions from outside the water. Due to too much noise, kids were not able to listen what he was telling them.
My son swimm just perfect! This Staff decided to test him twice before they allow him to swim alone and he passed! after they were sure everything is ok, same staff kept on shouting me not to let him alone and my son not to swim far! I TOLD HER OFF and asked to see a manager after having a row with her! Here’s the shock “manager asked for a third test” including back swim, floating in the middle of the pool and jumping! I TOLD HIM OFF! because there was a sign just behind where he was standing “NO JUMPING”!. Although I promised not to complain about them after they apologised, I couldn’t skip this review and make sure public gets their right to have fun using public services!
Don't go. The floods of three weeks ago compares well with this. Needs renovating needs more than a coat of paint, more people would visit. Other places are being properly updated but why not this.
Local amenity with pool and fitness is a convenient spot..kids and adults use for healthy benefits. Parking is available on site and it is also conveniently close to the shopping arcade where you can stock up after a session
The swimming baths are great but haven't been to the gyms yet. Just found out 14 year olds can go gym there. And I'm goin on the 3 of August. I hope 2017. Cya.
It needs renovations and need more instructors. As well as more showers in women area. Pool inside just ok but can do better.
