A delightful lunch on Saturday with the family. First class menu and fair prices. Andrea and Mike were lovely hosts. The Haddock was melt in your mouth tasty. Top chef. A real jewel in rural Samlesbury.
Lovely home cooked food, reasonable prices, relaxed atmosphere, polite and friendly staff, had the beef burger, one of the best I’ve tasted.
Lovely food and great staff. I wish I lived more locally but we're only able to visit after work because otherwise it is too far away. Great food, drinks and atmosphere.

The best pie I've eaten in 2021! And I've eaten a lot of pies. Superb homemade cookery. Friendly staff and great service. Relaxed atmosphere, proper pub with an open fire, what's not to like!
We had the best Sunday roast here today! The people there are so lovely too, really enjoyed our afternoon. Would definitely recommend.
Andrea behind the bar is very helpful, and I asked her for a recommendation from the menu. I had the beef pie which was melt in the mouth beef and absolutely delicious. Will definitely come back here when I'm up this way again, a great pub.
In the words of Joanne Lumley....ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS, servings were massive, couldn't eat a dessert, stuffed. Thank you for a fabulous hostess, makes the dining out more enjoyable, extra chocs for my big grown up grandson x
Just been doing a local walk. Stopped for lunch, good choice of food. Prices about standard for the types of food served. Nice little outdoor space. Looked nice inside. Enjoyed the food. Worth a visit
Very poor meals, steak and ale pie was dry and the steak chewy, the chips tasted as if they had been re heated and where bendy. Did complain and most of the food returned, was fully charged for the food apart from 1 glass of wine. Had eaten here on numerous occasions in the past and always enjoyed our meals. Wont be returning.
