Dirt cheap beer - their mild is a blessing at £1.37. and it's decent too. Haven't tried the light mild. Phones and laptops etc are banned in here for a good reason - have a conversation. There's no music/jukebox just people and conversation. Staff are excellent too. Note: take cash as they don't take cards.
This is a proper, old school pub. They don't allow mobile phones and encourage people to actually converse! Friendly staff, good range of beers and lagers at very reasonable prices. I hope to visit again soon.
Popped in for a drink after going to Hogarths first, a colleague recommended this pub before lockdown. £15 for a dbl Brandy & coke and a dble gin & tonic. The strength of the spirits, shall we say, was questionable. Totally overpriced and will not be coming back. No wonder the place was empty, unbelievable. More expensive than London !
Very nice staff and a lovely pint felt very relaxed
Go in here all the time really good beer and friendly service
Great atmosphere, just a bit weird that i was offered cauliflower without the five cans tomorrow but I told them I have ID to go home and change shoes but hey ho times are Greek
Very nice traditional pub. Excellent beer Proper fire. No phones or swearing aloud! As it should be!
Great beer, adults only no creche facitities and last but not least no digital devices...... marvellous.....carry on Mr Smith you're doing a great job
Absolutely lovely pub. Agree with the no phones/ iPad thing. Just not sure about the judgemental attitude
It's a great pub
