This is a fantastic LGBT+ venue. It offers a very welcoming and friendly atmosphere and the staff are really shining stars. The cocktails are imaginative, well made and competitively priced. The addition of regular entertainment makes this cosy venue full of life and gives it a real buzz. Highly recommended and handily placed for major rail, tube and bus links
I really love this welcoming, cozy and lively bar which attracts a mixed and interesting crowd. Great drinks and fun staff. A hidden gem in the heart of Kings Cross.
Really beautiful bar with delicious cocktails!
Eighteen months ago I wouldn’t have hesitated to rate this venue five stars. It was the proud owner of one of the best happy hours in London with a selection of cocktails at two for one for four hours a day. The previous owner was friendly and really understood the demographic of the bar. Unfortunately under the new ownership, the happy hour deals were slashed, quality of ingredients declined and the bar moved to cancel its most popular night ‘douze points’ in order to attract a ‘trendier’ crowd. Unfortunately this just left a sour taste in the mouths of many who used to attend the bar regularly. I do feel another ownership change could restore this bar but at the moment it doesn’t have the character and charm that made it great.
I’ve been here a few times now. Such a cool underground bar! With a good selection of cocktails and great music. Nick the owner is the loveliest guy. Will definitely go back!
Good place to buy a cheap bottle of wine. Very friendly bar staff. Place is usually always slow but still a nice place to chat and catch up with a friend. They have 2 crawl in cave type spaces you can sit in which is cool!
Great little basement neighborhood bar. The service was friendly. Got a bottle of wine when I was suggested a red thinking I was ordering a glass, but we drank it all anyway. It was a very nice Pinot Noir that I would have never guessed a bar would have, so what a nice surprise. Place was pretty packed with a mixture of 90s and other pop music. Nice evening.
It's small, cute and relaxing. A movie playing on a wall and a mix of pop from all ages playing in the back. I came on a Tuesday which clearly is a slow night but it's worth visiting. Ideal for a date and you can go out for a smoke and come back inside
First time visiting this bar today - loved it!! Very friendly atmosphere, everyone there from owners to bar staff to customers made us feel so welcome. Pity I live so far away from London otherwise I would be a regular! Will be back soon!!
This was my first ever visit to New Bloomsbury Set. I feel I've been missing out all this time! Welcoming, friendly, good drinks choice. Amazingly it's clean!! So many gay bars in London seem to be grotty and run down. No so here! Will be back soon hopefully.
